We cut to Ram at the hotel, looking irritated that Devi hasn't shown up yet.
Back
to the chase! Parvathi runs up to a video store where the manager is trying to
lock up for the night. She begs for help, then barges past him into the store.
Jagmo sees where she went and follows. When the manager tries to stop him, he
catches eight inches of steel in the belly for his trouble as Jagmo's killing
spree begins.
Parvathi looks for a place to stash The Tape, but all of the cases look the same. She fumbles through a pile of labels and snatches one that reads "100 Days" and puts it on The Tape. She puts The Tape on a shelf with a bunch of others, then tries to find a way past Jagmo to escape. He catches her and demands The Tape again. She tells him no, and that "all of you will be caught." These are plot points folks, let's get them down!
About
this time, Devi has reached the store. She finds the dead manager lying on the
steps, and since this is a movie she runs into the store instead of calling the
police. She hides behind some shelves as Jagmo dumps piles of tapes as he
frantically searches for the one he wants. Parvathi tries to get away again, and
is caught once more. Jagmo tells her this is the last time he's going to ask her
where The Tape is. She still won't tell, and pays the inevitable (if not many,
many times foretold) price. In her shock, Devi knocks some tapes off a shelf,
drawing the attention of the now rather messy Jagmo.
Jagmo is none too pleased that he's been seen, and begins chasing Devi through the store. This goes on for some time, with Devi hiding behind the shelves and Jagmo stalking around looking mean. Devi finally spots The Tape with the "100 Days" label, and picks it up. In a nicely done shot, as she parts the tapes to take it, she reveals the face of Jagmo in the next row. Predictable, but it still looked neat. Anyway, she gets away from him by pushing over one of the shelves causing a domino effect that buries him under hundreds of tapes. She bolts out the door, careful not to step on the dead manager on the front steps that still hasn't drawn any attention.
Jagmo frees himself and leaves the store. Amusingly, this blood-soaked man with a big knife also goes running through the streets not attracting any attention.
A
quick cut to Sunil's shows that he is up and about, but limping pretty badly.
He's dressed himself and is heading out the door when the scene cuts back to
Devi's flight to safety.
Or not so safety! She appears to have gone off the idea of meeting Ram at the hotel, and instead has gone to some sort of park. She sees the statue of Jesus from her vision, and decides that's a good place to hide The Tape. Jagmo sees her in the park and comes after her. Jagmo loses sight of her inside the building adjacent to the Olympic sized swimming pool. Say, wasn't there a pool in Devi's vision as well? It's all falling into place.
He
runs to and fro looking for Devi. He must be wearing wooden shoes, since he has
the loudest footfalls I've ever heard. He climbs to the top of a ladder attached
to a slide leading into the pool. He looks down and sees that Devi is hiding in
the water at the foot of the slide, so he dives down it head first. Devi starts
swimming to the edge of the pool with Jagmo in hot pursuit. We see him tugging
her feet and dragging her underwater, just like in her vision!
