Her efforts to escape are in vain, and Vish manages to catch her. He takes her over to where Madhu's dad is waiting, and asks them both if they recognize the other. After an awkward moment, Dad says that there has been a mistake, and that she is not his daughter. Vish doesn't believe him. As they debate it, Shivangi manages to slip away.

Outside, she manages to flag down a cab and makes it back to the house. She sees an unfamiliar form sitting in the rocking chair in her room, and instead runs out to find Ravi (remember him?). He tells her that it's probably Suraj in the room, since they got home from work early.

Sure enough, that's who it is. He asks her what happened, and she explains her run-in at the store. Suraj is relieved to hear that Vish isn't dead, but is mad that he's still hassling his wife. He takes Ravi with him to go talk to the police. While she's waiting for them to get back, we have a tense moment where she believes she spots Vish lurking around the outside of the house. However he's gone when she checks again, so she isn't sure if she really saw him or not.

The phone rings, and she reluctantly picks it up. Vish is calling from a phone booth outside the house, on the street. He tells her that he knows Madhu's father was lying when they met earlier, and he's still convinced that she is his wife. As she is angrily replying to leave them alone, the doorbell rings and there is no voice on the phone any more.

She nervously approaches the door as the bell rings over and over again. Turns out it's Suraj and Ravi at the door, but I'm not sure why they'd ring the bell. I rather assumed one or the other of them had a key. (shrug) She explains to them that Vish had been there, and had called.

They call the cops to set up a tap on the phone to try and catch him when he calls again. They don't have to wait long. A few minutes later the phone rings. Vish is doing his usual material while Shivangi keeps him talking so they can complete a trace on the call. They manage to complete the trace, and find out that he's calling from a hotel in the city.

Several dozen police (!!) show up with rifles and surround the place. Vish is happy to see them though, and surrenders easily to them. He is brought into the Inspector General's office where most of the Kapoor family is waiting. Vish explains that he deliberately called the house again so that he might be brought in to chat with the family. Suraj is mad about all this, and threatens to kill Vish if he keeps it up. Vish returns the threat saying that he's killed people before, and might have to do it again before this is over. Need I remind anyone that they're threatening to kill each other in front of the police? (sigh)

They go over the same ground again where Vish says that she's his wife and has proof, and that Suraj has married an already married woman. Since the I.G. is related to the Kapoors, he says that he's favoring them. He tells them that if they are not willing to concede to his evidence that he will be forced to take this to court. The family gets up and leaves at this point, and the I.G. tells Vish that he's free to go. I still think they could charge him with harassment, kidnapping, and assault, but who has time for such details? The I.G. does tell him to cut the crap with all the phone calls and stalking though, so I guess that's a step in the right direction.

Later that night, the family is talking about how a court case could affect them socially. Shivangi is listening in on the conversation from upstairs, and makes distressed faces at each mention of how they are so sure that she's not the wife of "that crazy man." As they are debating the course of action they plan to take, the phone rings. Both Shivangi and Suraj pick up at the same time, although Suraj doesn't make any noise once he hears that it's Vish on the phone.

Vish makes one final plea with Shivangi to avoid having to go to court and put her and the Kapoor family though the embarrassment that would follow. He goes into detail about some of the evidence that he has, and how it would show without a doubt that he is correct.

Shivangi tells him that she has lost, and has no other choice but to go off with him and spare Suraj and the Kapoors the humiliation that would befall them if this were to play out. Suraj looks appropriately distressed as he listens in.

Shivangi makes Vish promise to stop any hassling of Suraj. He says that he has no enmity with him (could have fooled me!) and would be happy to oblige her request.
