Back at the hospital Raj is diligently keeping his vigil. He reminds the still catatonic Kajal of what she told him the night of her wedding about the world not ending when a loved one leaves, and not to use that as an excuse to hurt yourself. As he talks, little signs of activity are seen. Kajal starts to swallow, and finally a tear rolls down her cheek.

The next day, a plane flies low over the hospital. The sound causes Kajal to sit up in bed and begin shrieking as she has a flashback to the helicopter accident. Raj also wakes up from the nap he was taking in a chair next to the bed. What happens next seems a little extreme to me. Raj adopts the "tough love" approach to snap Kajal out of her funk. He is really mean in this scene and even has the "crazy eyes" thing going. He describes in vivid detail how he's going to take her in a plane, fly way up into the air, then come plunging down to the ground in an uncontrollable crash. Kajal freaks out and starts screaming her lungs out. Raj shakes her really hard and flops her head all over the place while she cries out for her late husband.

I seriously thought she was having a nightmare with how vicious Raj was being. He's yelling at her, she's going nuts, he's shaking her around and telling her to control herself. It was wild. You can imagine my surprise when it was all really happening!

The doctors and nurses come in while Kajal is sobbing on Raj's shoulder, but see that he's got everything in hand and leave! Wow! She promises not to try and kill herself again and is all better now. Whatever. Raj should not be a pilot. He's a hell of a therapist.

Jiya comes to the hospital to check on things. The doctors tell her the good news, and point her in the direction of the garden where Raj and Kajal are spending the afternoon. Meanwhile Raj is continuing to work miracles on Kajal, getting her to walk again instead of riding around in a wheelchair. She asks him how he heard she was in the hospital in the first place, and he tells her about his upcoming wedding with Jiya. Kajal is excited for him and gives him a big hug, just as Jiya comes into view. Jiya bristles mildly at the sight but doesn't say anything.

We have a quick scene with Raj's brother and Kiran where he tells her that Jiya is Karan's brother, and that's it. Back to the real drama! Raj is continuing his streak by telling the nurse at home that Kajal doesn't need her sleeping meds anymore, and tucks her in with a lullaby. Really.

As Raj is lovingly putting her to sleep, we see that Jiya and Monty are watching them through a window in the hall. Monty starts in again with his smarmy remarks about how very close those two seem to be. Monty tries to draw some parallel to the old tale about the tortoise and the hare, but it doesn't make a lot of sense. Jiya tells him to knock it off, because she already has a plan. Hmmm.

Some undetermined time later, both of the families are together to prepare for the engagement party. Jiya suggests to everyone that they take Kajal out for a little trip to get a change of atmosphere. Monty of course backs her up and says that the doctors agree.

They end up at their old place with G.I. Joe. He comes into the bedroom with another tale of woe concerning his wife. Everyone in the room laughs at his joke except for Kajal. She tells Joe that she knows he's never had a wife and that Ramdas is also made up. This actually makes Joe go to the corner and cry. He vows to make her laugh again, or else he is not worthy of his name. His full, real name that is.
