Undaunted,
Jiya shows up outside the briefing room where Raj and his training squadron are
listening to a lecture. She must be quite a sneaky little thing if she can get
onto the military base and get that close to the pilots, but perhaps I'm reading
too much into this. Anyway, she peeks into the room through a window and is
noticed by Raj's co-pilot. He makes kissy-faces at her but she shakes her head
and points at Raj. When Raj looks over at her he rolls his eyes and goes back to
paying attention to the instructor. We get several moments of Jiya peeking in
and the whole class looking at her, then having her hide again when the teacher
looks over. Finally he gets annoyed and tells Raj to go out there and deal with
her.
Jiya
explains to Raj that today is her birthday and all she wants is one date with
him. She invites him over to her place so she can make him dinner. Raj is
reluctant but in the end he agrees to come over. She is giddy with anticipation
and falls backwards into her car.
Wasting no time, we cut to Jiya's house that evening. We see Raj ringing the doorbell, and Jiya waiting inside for him. She's all decked out in a nice red dress and looks amazing. She uses one of those kick-ass remote controls to open the doors while she sits on the loveseat, and Raj strolls in. There is a lot of romance novel dialog between them, and Raj seems a lot more attracted to Jiya this time than before. The power goes out due to the inevitable torrential thunderstorm. Jiya lights some candles and continues with the flowery poetic talk. This eventually leads to (gasp) an actual kiss! As this happens, lightning strikes and we start the next song, "Aayega Mazaa Barsaat Ka."
Now, I've always tried to keep the content of this site to a "PG" level or so. However, the following song is without a doubt the single sexiest thing I've ever seen in a Bollywood production. There are several close-ups of Ms. Chopra, and they're not always of her face. I was amazed at the extent they took this one. I have actually heard some gossip in the Bollywood industry of a suspected relationship between Mr. Kumar and Ms. Chopra (he is married, and no, not to her) but they deny it.

As the song comes to an end, we see Jiya sleeping on the couch, still in her red party dress. The sun is rising behind her, and all of her roommates come running into the room. They ask if he came over to see her, and she replies that he did. However, it was only in her dreams. (Aha, told you he seemed a lot more amorous, didn't I!) They tell her to forget about him then, but she refuses and adds another "I'll get you baby!" to emphasize her point.
Jiya
shows up at Raj's place and asks his squad mates where he is. They tell her that
he's gone back to India. She pouts and drives off in a huff. We see Raj hanging
out in another bedroom when his roommate comes in to tell him that he got rid of
her for him.
Apparently some time passes, because the next thing we see is Raj returning home on that visit he promised he would make. His brother and sister-in-law welcome him warmly and they happily chat for a bit. Raj tells them he's going to go get cleaned up and they can keep talking over lunch. As he heads for his room, they stop him. They tell him that while he was gone, they took in a paying guest. (Why yes, that is your spider sense tingling.)
Of course much to Raj's (and only Raj's) surprise, the door to his room opens and out steps Jiya wearing a very tasteful and modest sari.
