As she is whacking him with the trident, she is also backing him outside towards the edge of the temple. When she tells him about the good deed, she knees him in a sensitive area, causing him to lose his balance and fall over the edge. He is able to grab the ledge of the wall and hang there. He begs her to say she loves him, just once. She instead stabs at one of his hands with the trident, causing him to move his arm. He pulls back, then grabs her ankle and pulls her over the side with him.

So there they hang, with Shivani clutching the wall with both hands while Vijay hangs from one of her legs. She kicks at his hands with her free foot, but he is able to hang onto her. He tells her that he will never leave her, no matter what. If he has to die, then she has to die as well.

Shivani looks over her shoulder and tells him that her life is not as important as his death, and lets go of the wall. The two of them plummet to the earth below, and they both die. I'm not kidding, that's how the movie ends.

There's a static shot of the two of them. Vijay lands mostly on his back and dies with his eyes half-lidded. The camera moves down a bit and shows Shivani on her front, with a pool of blood coming from her temple. The credits roll over this scene and it doesn't fade out until they're completed.
