We cut to a montage of Madan being reintegrated into the office culture, and he takes to it rapidly. We also see that he's not always on the level. A few of the vignettes show some of the contractors or co-workers questioning the ethical or legal nature of some of the plans Madan is working on, but are all told to just do what he says, he'll worry about the consequences. After a few of these, we see some of Madan's plans being reviewed and approved of. Papa Sharma (I haven't caught his name yet) tells him that he's doing very well, and shall henceforth be a 5% partner in the firm. He then excuses himself to go to a meeting. Madan bristles at the pittance he perceives 5% to be, and reveals his true plan to the viewer - he's planning to take over the company and kick Papa Sharma out.

We cut to Papa Sharma preparing for an extended business trip. Rahkee and Ajay are packing his cases while he makes some arrangements over the phone. We learn that he is expecting to be gone for several months, so he is granting power of attorney to Madan so that any important matters can be handled without delay. (Aha! I got his name. It's Vishwanath Sharma.) Vishwanath heads out for his journey, and Madan wastes no time in screwing the company over.

We get another montage as Madan starts signing over all of the Sharma companies to his own group of businesses. Upon his return, Vishwanath sees that all the names on the signs have been changed, and realizes that he's in trouble.

Vishwanath bursts into Madan's office and accuses him of cheating him even though he had accepted him back and helped him get back on his feet. Madan points out a little instance a few years ago when Madan had mishandled a sizeable amount of money, and Vishwanath had him sent to prison. While in jail, all of those bad things happened to his family, while Vishwanath could have pardoned him. Madan tells him that he was lucky to have signed power of attorney over to him willingly, since he is more than prepared to murder Vishwanath for his revenge.

Vishwanath returns to his house, only to find his family standing on the yard and the bank has sealed the property. Vishwanath is confused, since he didn't owe anything on the house. However the bank's records show that 5 lahk rupees had been borrowed against the house in the name of Madan Chopra. If there's anything that can be done, it will have to be done through him.

We cut to Madan's office, where Rahkee has come to plead for aid. Madan offers to buy her a house, and makes a few other less than noble offers to her. Rahkee is offended by his actions, and tells him she's not his little plaything. She curses him in the names of her children. Madan is scoffs at her outburst, and tells her that he isn't afraid of her. As he triumphantly declares this he spins his office chair, providing us with our transition back to the present.

Vicky props his feet up on one of the models of Chopra's upcoming projects and makes some menacing faces at us.

We then cut to a jewelry store where Priya is trying on some huge necklaces. She bumps into Anjali at the counter and they catch up a little. Anjali now lives in a hotel where she works. Priya invites her to her engagement tonight, but Anjali has to work the night shift.

Vicky comes over to get Priya, and she takes a moment to introduce him to Anjali. Anjali asks if they have met before, since he seems so familiar to her. Vicky says he doesn't know her, and they head out. Undaunted, Anjali goes back to her room at the hotel and looks through her old pictures. Sure enough, there's a copy of the photo that Ravi had been looking for on the night he was murdered. She sees Vicky/Ajay in the picture, and realizes something very odd is happening.

We then cut to the party where Babulal has forgotten to fill the glasses with beverages, and is walking through the crowd offering the guests ice cold glasses of nothing. We see a few other guests arrive, including Karan. They are interrupted by an announcement that one of India's well-known singers is going to perform a song for them. All of the guests gather around as Vinod Rathod begins to sing "Chupana Bhi Nahin Aata."

We also see a little bit of plot during this song, as Karan appears to be harboring some feelings for Priya. He has a few flashbacks to some happy times the two of them have had, and he even does a verse of the song.
