With all of that grisly business behind us, it's time to cut to the next morning. Priya is on the back patio enjoying a friendly phone call when Karan arrives. She invites him to sit down when he asks her if she's got a moment. He produces a photo of Anjali, and asks Priya if she knows who she is. Priya says that she does, so Karan asks if she spoke to her on the night of her engagement. Priya says she did not, then asks why he wants to know. He relays the fact that she's been missing since that evening. According to the hotels outbound call log, she dialed the house at about 10:30 on the night in question. As this is going on, we see Babulal approaching from the house. When he gets to the table, Priya asks him if he spoke to Anjali on the night of the party. This leads to several rounds of Babulal struggling to remember, and being unable to do so.

As Babulal dances around the yard pounding his head (seriously), Vicky drives up. He sees the police vehicle in the driveway, and becomes apprehensive. When he comes over to ask what's going on, Priya tells him that Karan is there to ask about Seema's friend Anjali. Hearing all of this together in one phrase finally clicks the last piece into place for Babulal, and he remembers the whole phone message. Priya is very interested to hear why Babulal didn't bother to deliver this message at the time of the call. Babulal tells her that he was on his way to do just that, but he was interrupted by someone and didn't do it. She asks him who stopped him, and this forces another round of remembering. He asks for two days to think about it, and he'll get back to her.

Vicky tries to discredit Babulal (not something that should be too hard to do) by saying they shouldn't believe too much of what he says, since he never remembers anything correctly anyway. As Karan is about to leave, he remembers something. He turns to Vicky and says that he remembers that Vicky was on the phone that night, at around the time in question. Vicky gets very defensive here, and tells Madan that there were many calls that night to congratulate the couple. After a few smart mouth remarks, Karan apologizes and offers his hand to Vicky. However, Vicky does not reciprocate and leaves Karan hanging. Sensing the awkwardness, Karan takes his leave.

Priya is perturbed that Vicky was so harsh with Karan, since he was there to look into some details concerning the death of her sister. Vicky retaliates and says that it's been a year since the death, and the killer committed suicide. All the cops like to do is go around stirring up trouble. He apologizes to her, and says that he got angry because he thought their love had erased the pain in her heart, and Karan was opening up old wounds. He leaves her alone, and she spends a few minutes looking troubled.

We then cut away to the office. Vicky is hard at work napping at his desk when he gets a call from Madan's office. Madan is leaving on a trip in a few minutes, and wants to go over some things with Vicky. He asks Vicky to come and see him right away. Vicky makes a quick pit stop first to splash some water on his face. As he is drying off, he notices that he has dislodged one of his brown contacts, and now he's looking a little odd. In a panic he starts fishing around in the drain for the missing lens.

As he is panicking, we go back to Madan's office. One of his business partners is questioning the wisdom in a move that he's planning to make. In an odd deja-vu moment, we learn that Madan is going to grant Vicky power of attorney over his company. Madan tells the other man that Vicky is not an outsider. He's known him for a while, and will soon be his son-in-law. Madan notices that it is time to go, and Vicky has not come in yet. He conducts a lazy search of Vicky's office, and some other rooms in the area but can't find him anywhere.

Meanwhile Vicky is taking apart the plumbing in his quest for the contact lens. He finally notices the lens has been stuck in the towel he used to dry his face, and gets it in just in time for Madan to come into his bathroom (without knocking, I might add). Madan tells him that he needs to go over some details with him.

Vicky's eyes light up when he realizes that he's been handed the reins of the company. He urges Madan to leave right away for his oh-so-important business trip. Madan takes off with his buddies, leaving Vicky to marvel at this turn of luck.

Vicky gets started immediately. One of Vicky's advisors tells him that the things he is ordering are a misuse of the power of attorney, but Vicky basically tells him to deal with it. We cut to a montage of Vicky signing huge stacks of papers in a roomful of lawyer-esque people while ominous drums thump in the music.
