We cut over to the house, where the servant staff are lined up outside, with heads hung low. In front of them we see a pair of boots marching along the line, coming to a stop next to Babulal. With a dramatic spin, Priya reveals her face to the audience. She angrily asks Babulal how many there are of him. With some degree of confusion, Babulal tells her that there's only the one of him. Priya tells him she meant how many servants are there among the staff. Babulal does a quick headcount and tells her that there are four of them. Priya asks how out of all of them, none of them remembered to send a car to the airport. Babulal doesn't understand the question - why should he send a car to the airport, when they use planes there?

The staff giggles at this remark, but Priya's too mad to laugh. She tells them all to shut up, then asks where "Daddy" is. Babulal tells her that Daddy has passed away. When Priya reacts with shock, she asks to hear what happened. Babulal tells her the following tale:

"... and he vanished from this world."

Maybe it's just me, but I thought that was hilarious.

Priya asks him again who he's talking about, and we learn that he was talking about his own "Daddy," not hers. Priya's had enough, and she screams at all of them to get out of her sight. As she's shrieking at them, we see Seema has arrived and happily calls out to her. Priya says she's happy to see her again, but she is mad that Seema failed to pick her up at the airport. Seema makes up the excuse that she had extra classes that afternoon and couldn't come. When asked for the whereabouts of their father, Seema explains that they both know dad is only interested in two things - his business and racing cars. He's probably tied up in one or the other of those.

Sure enough, we cut over to the office to find Madan shouting lots of important-sounding business jargon. We also see he is somewhat ruthless in the HR department, since some employee requests are dismissed with the notion of "they're lucky enough to work here, that's all they're going to get." We learn that a new textile business has just been acquired, and Madan tells them to change the name to Seema Garments, in honor of his daughter. Madan's secretary tells him that Priya has arrived at home, and has called several times for him. Madan rushes home to see his family.

They have a happy reunion, and Madan tells them about the new Seema Garments factory that he's just bought. Priya wants to know what he's bought for her, and tells him that she would like a sports car. He tells her no problem, and she lets out a squeal that calls to mind air being let out of a balloon.

We cut to dinner, where Madan is reading the paper and Babulal is carrying in some trays. He sets the finger-washing bowl in front of Madan and tells him that it's soup. There is some comic mayhem following this, but it's not really that easy to describe without completely sucking all the humor out of it. Just trust me on this one, it was pretty funny.

The girls join him at the table, and tell him that he's not to go anywhere tomorrow since they want to all hang out as a family. He tells them instead of that, they're all going to Madras where he plans to participate in his final car race. Seema tells them that she has exams tomorrow, and is not able to leave town. Priya and Madan tell her that is unfortunate, but they'll have lots of fun without her!
