Pallu smirks now that she has Anjali's attention, and promises she won't tell anyone... else. There is one other person who knows about the whole thing - her husband, Dil. Pallu turns Anjali's head in Dil's direction, just as Dil starts the next song! For the next few minutes, Dil and Pallu entertain the crowd and terrorize Anjali with their suggestive song, "Kheta Hai."

Dil and Pallu are clearly having fun taunting Anjali, and even go so far as to include a little nod to the coffee incident. They conclude their performance with Dil pouring half a bottle of champagne over his head. All of this excitement is too much for the movie, so we cut to the next day.

We find ourselves in Raja's hotel suite. Anjali is standing in the doorway to the balcony and seems to be on the verge of tears. Raja tries to offer some comforting words, and suggests that she not take Dil and Pallu's teasing so seriously. He points out that as of now, neither of them has done anything explicitly wrong, but Anjali doesn't seem to be consoled by this. She worries that they will tell Aditya about all the time they are spending together, and she's not ready for him to know. Raja starts getting irritated, and says that she's always been like this - choosing the path of least resistance. He tells her he's leaving India in two days after his big show. He expects her to be ready to leave with him.

Anjali goes home, and finds that her parents have dropped in on a surprise visit. She walks in on Kabir teaching a proverb to the children about how the path to inner peace is honesty in all of our acts. They send the kids off for snacks and settle in to chat. Kabir expresses his thanks to Anjali for resolving the family crisis, and looking after the little ones. He continues to heap praises on Anjali, who looks more and more guilty the longer he talks.

He really lays it on heavy, too. He speaks at length about how she's surpassed anyone's expectations of her, and has brought glory to the whole family for her selfless acts. The soundtrack keeps thumping whenever he makes one of his big points, and Anjali looks sicker and sicker as she thinks about her plans.

We cut from an extreme close-up of Anjali looking more conflicted than she ever has before over to Raja's dressing room. He's relaxing in his robe (on a large furry chair) and going over some travel arrangements with his staff. They leave and Aditya comes in to wish Raja well. He also asks Raja to congratulate him, since it is his and Anjali's wedding anniversary. Aditya explains the nature of his marriage, and how his feelings are beginning to change towards Anjali. When he thinks of the sacrifice she made for him, he has noticed that he is feeling more love for her as time goes by.

Raja starts to look pretty uncomfortable talking about this, but Aditya lets him off the hook and excuses himself with a final well-wishing. Raja goes back to his vanity and looks over his plane tickets again. He has a very pensive look on his face as he looks into the mirror, noticing Anjali waiting in the doorway.

He rushes over to speak with her, and asks if Aditya saw her come in here. After a pause, he thinks it's no big deal even if he did since she's about to leave with him anyway. He tells her that he has a ticket for Montreal for her, and they can leave everything behind them. Anjali asks if that also includes their values. Raja looks a little grumpy, asks her what she's talking about. She explains what happened with her parents and thinks about how she wasn't able to look them in the eye. Anjali is sure that meant she was doing something wrong. She tells him that she's sorry, but she can't leave with him.

Raja is mad. He remarks how every time it looks like his life is on track, she has to go and remember her duties towards the world. He says that ever since Aarti died, she's gone out of her way to make everyone else happy, except for him.

Anjali stands fast in her resolve, and tells him that he can say whatever he wants, she's not going to change her mind this time. Raja tells her that's fine. If she won't come with him on her own, he'll create a scene. She asks him not to, since that won't solve anything and will only ruin things for both of them.
