She calls Aditya who appears to be hanging out in a pool hall. She asks him when he's coming home, and then reminds him that Parent's Day is coming up at the twins' school. She asks Aditya if it would be all right if she wore some of Aarti's jewelry when she goes in for her conference. He tells her that of course it's all right, everything that was Aarti's is now hers. She thanks him and hangs up, looking happier than she's looked since she got married. In fact, she's so happy about this she mischievously tiptoes off to Aarti's room and shuts the door. Feeling securely hidden away, she belts out the next tune, "Kaise Piya Se."

It's made pretty clear in this song that Anjali is getting into the idea of being married to Aditya. She sings about how she's going to pine for him and basically do whatever he asks her to.

Anjali gets herself all cleaned up and dressed to the nines, then heads downstairs to go to the school. She tells the driver at the door that she'll drive herself today. He tells her that this will make Aditya angry, but she tells him not to worry. Anjali grabs the keys and hops into the driver's seat.

It might have been a good idea to let the driver handle this trip. Anjali, still feeling in high spirits is merrily wheeling down the road, swerving back and forth between the two lanes. She seems to be having a ball, completely oblivious to the line of auto-rickshaws and other cars behind her. Her revelry is soon ended as she nearly hits a pedestrian, and swerves off the road to avoid hitting him. We do hear a crashing sound and Anjali lurches forward in her seat.

We cut to a very pissed-off Aditya getting out of his car at the police station. He marches into the lobby, past where Anjali is sitting. He gives her the Look of Death, then speaks with the sergeant on duty. The sarge seems nice enough, and offers Aditya a seat. Aditya is all business though, and just asks what fines and damages they are owed. The sarge says that there are no damages to be paid, but his wife nearly killed someone. Aditya tells him that this will never happen again, and takes Anjali home for a little talking-to.

Anjali begins apologizing right away, but says she doesn't know how it happened. Aditya tells her that how it happened doesn't matter. She's not to drive the car ever again. The driver will take her wherever she needs to go.

This doesn't sit well with Anjali. She says she's apologized and has promised to be more careful. She then makes a weird argument that she'll be fine, since Aarti drove around alone for years and nothing bad happened to her. Aditya asks her why she's always comparing herself to her sister, and trying to be her equal. He asks her if she thinks that by changing her looks and how she acts that she will become another Aarti. He tells her to be herself, since she will never ever be like Aarti. With that bombshell dropped, he gets up from his chair and heads upstairs.

The camera swings back to Anjali, who is crying but defiant. She tells Aditya that he needn't tell her that she'll never be like her sister. For the last three years, every single thing he has done has told her already that she'll never be as good as Aarti was. Aditya stops at this, and turns to face her. She tells him that she knows that she can't be Aarti's equal, but she can take her place in one respect. Aarti was lonely, much like Anjali is. Aditya didn't have time for Aarti, and now he doesn't have time for Anjali. Aarti led her life constantly waiting for Aditya, and now Anjali is doing the same. Aarti eventually even died waiting for Aditya, just like one day Anjali will as well. For her final coup de grace, she delivers this blow - Just like Aditya only started realizing Aarti's worth after she was dead, he will perhaps realize Anjali's worth when she is gone, because he does not care for those who live. Having said her piece, she runs up the stairs past Aditya, who can only stand in stunned silence.

We then cut to a montage of Aditya purging his life of Aarti. He sits in front of the fireplace and begins burning his memories of her. He tosses on their wedding photo album, and images from it drift up as they are engulfed in flames. We get a close-up of him weeping, then the screen fades to black.

I'm assuming this was the interval cut, since we then hop over to the airport where Aditya is happily chatting away with his assistant. He tells him that Anjali is angry with him, but he's going to turn over a new leaf. Aditya has decided to treat the family to an epic vacation as soon as he gets back from the trip he is about to embark upon.

Okay, you'd have to be pretty new to movies in general to miss the clues here - something bad is about to happen. "As soon as I get back" is pretty much an open invitation to disaster.
