Aditya spots Anjali walking towards him with his carry-on luggage. In an unusual choice, Aditya doesn't let on that he's a family man just yet. He speaks to Anjali in a very businesslike manner, and explains about the trip he has to take. He says goodbye without even a hug, and walks off to his gate. Anjali watches him go, giving him the stink eye the whole time. Since fate has a cruel sense of humor, it's about time we were reunited with an old friend. The very moment Aditya is out of sight, Anjali notices a familiar face riding the escalator down to her level. With a mild panic attack, Anjali realizes that Raja is about to come back into her life. She does the rational thing, and hides behind a pillar as Raja is greeted by an entourage of media types.

The promoter for his show introduces himself to Raja, and goes about explaining how excited everyone is that he's here to do a big show of his fusion music. As his snappy patter continues, we see that Anjali has moved from her hiding spot to a bookstore, and is peeking over the top of a book as Raja and his gang pass by. As soon as she sees the hall is clear, she leaves the store and peers cautiously around as she makes her way out. Her plans are foiled as Raja speaks to her from behind another pillar (damn those pillars are handy!).

Raja asks her if she's hiding from him, and why she won't look him in the eye. Unable to speak, Anjali just stands there and looks uncomfortable. Raja continues, and asks who she is there to see off. He answers his own question by assuming that she's there for the one she left him for years ago.

At this comment, Anjali makes a face and turns to walk away. Raja tells her to wait, and asks her if she'll meet with him somewhere a little more personal than the airport. She doesn't reply, but he persists. He explains that he wants to meet just once more, to get some closure and finish this chapter of his life. Anjali looks at him with an amazed expression, then finally does walk away.

We cut to Raja hanging out at a gigantic palace as the sun sets. He has his own little flashback montage as he thinks about all the times that he and and Anjali shared. When he's done reminiscing, he turns to leave, and sees Anjali waiting behind him. (Not sure how she knew where to go, since she didn't say a word to him at the airport, and he didn't leave any contact information.) He starts off fairly mean, and tells her that he knows she probably doesn't have much time for him, so he'll say what he's got to say quickly so she can go back to her "love filled life." He asks her what right did she have to just go away without an explanation, leaving him to wonder what the heck happened.

Now I'm not one to take sides in these romantic entanglements, but I'd have to agree that he does have a point. Things were looking pretty good for the two of them, so if she did vanish without a single word of explanation, I'd be a little mad about it too.

He tells her that no matter if she, society, or the world says that she was right in what she did, he will always consider her as being unfaithful. Anjali digests this for a moment, then agrees with him. She was unfaithful, but mostly to herself. She has given up her own happiness to do what she thought was her duty to do.

She also adds that her situation is not quite what he thinks it is. While she must remain strong for the sake of her family and marriage, she is herself breaking under the pressure of the life she's leading. She admits that she has done a great wrong to Raja in the way she left things, and asks him for his forgiveness. Having said this, she walks a few paces away and bursts into tears.
