Vishal
goes into the bedroom and looks at his wife, who is peacefully sleeping. He
spends a few minutes wandering around the house looking very worried and
generally stressing out. He ends up sagging onto the couch and staring blankly
at the TV when he hears Swati come downstairs. Swati's not looking so good. She
now has some major dark circles around her eyes, and she's moving pretty slowly.
One might say she's starting to resemble a certain undead figure she's been
seeing a lot of lately. He watches her walk up to him, then she quickly pulls a
large knife from behind her and slams it into his chest!
He lurches forward and realizes that he's let his imagination get the best of him. He hangs his head forward for a moment and catches his breath. When he looks up, he sees that Swati really did come downstairs, but she's sitting in an almost fetal position on the chair next to the couch. She still has the dark circles around her eyes, and she looks as if she's been crying.
She
stares at Vishal for a moment, before telling him that Manjeet is there with
them. Vishal asks her where she thinks Manjeet is, and she indicates the
loveseat across from her. Vishal looks over to see for himself, but there's
nothing there. Vishal decides it is time to see the doctor again.
The doctor isn't so sure of himself this time, and he refers them to a psychiatrist. The one he recommends is at the hospital to see his daughter, who is dying of leukemia. We cut to said doctor, who is sitting with his daughter. She tells him that she is frightened, but he tries to comfort her. She says she doesn't believe him, and she knows she's going to die. He tries to tell her not to talk that way, but they are interrupted by a nurse. She tells Dr. Rajan that he is needed by another doctor if he has a moment. Rajan takes his leave of his daughter, and tells her he'll be right back.
He goes to meet with Vishal and the other doctor who makes some quick introductions. Rajan makes a house call (whoa!) and begins speaking with Swati. He asks her a few questions about Manjeet, and tells her that she can trust him. He asks Swati if Manjeet is with them right now, and she says nothing. However, she looks over his shoulder with eyes full of fear, and he checks behind him. Unfortunately for Swati's sanity, he sees nothing there. Swati realizes that he can't see Manjeet, and starts to cry.
Vishal
and Rajan go out into the hallway to discuss the case. Rajan says she's got her
problems, and is hallucinating. He explains that while these symptoms are not
common, they're not unheard of. He thinks that the knowledge of the death in the
apartment is the trigger that caused her issues. As they exit the elevator, they
pass the watchman's chair, which is currently occupied by Qureshi.
A few more of Qureshi's odd tendencies show themselves here. He introduces himself to Rajan, and pulls on his nametag to show him his name. He also takes a long look at Rajan, all up and down his body. He asks them if Rajan is looking at apartments in the building, but Rajan just says that he is a psychiatrist. Vishal and Rajan try to walk away, and Qureshi calls after them that his wife often tells him he could do with some help in that area. The men smile at him, and continue on their way.
In any other situation, this would have been a cute little joke. However, since Qureshi has good reason to believe that Rajan is there to treat Swati, this joke comes off being pretty tasteless.
Having
seen Rajan out, Vishal goes back upstairs. Bai lets him in, and asks what's
happened to Swati. Vishal tells her it is nothing, and that she should take off
for the day. As he does so, we hear a loud cry come from the bedroom. Vishal
hurries upstairs to see what's going on. As he enters the room, we see Swati
standing with her back to us, framed in the window. Vishal slowly reaches his
hand out and touches her shoulder.
This was apparently the wrong thing to do. Swati turns, and literally snarls at him. She then punches him so hard that he flies over the bed and topples to the floor. Swati then launches into what can really only be described as a conniption fit. (That's a pretty large file, ~12MB.) She begins grunting and howling, holding her arms out to her sides and throwing her head around in circles. Vishal looks at her in horror from his position of safety behind the bed.
