Rahul doesn't have a lot of time to chit-chat with the office staff, and he nods his way through the maze of cubicles to get to his office. Back out at the main desk, two prospective music directors are trying to get a meeting with Rahul, but the receptionist tells them there's nothing she can do to help. Chandan notices the two of them there, and greets them.

The two hopefuls speak enthusiastically with Chandan about making their big break in scoring films, and Chandan sounds interested in helping them. He says he will be their guru in the industry and they'll all work together to produce his new style of music, which he has dubbed "shock music," a fusion of rock and pop. He then sends them off to find a producer to give them some money to get started. They scuttle off to do his bidding, and he muses to the camera that he doesn't know where these idiots come from.

Inside Rahul's office, he is seen tapping away at his computer. He gets a call from the front desk to tell him that Ms. Rashmi is here to meet with him. When he asks what she wants, the receptionist explains that Rashmi is a hopeful singer and dancer. Rashmi gives the woman a hopeful nod and a smile as she waits to hear the reply. Rahul isn't quite as excited, and says that he's busy for the next few months (!) and Rashmi should come back then. As they hang up, Rashmi looks on with anticipation as the receptionist tells her to try again later. A rather melodramatic violin begins playing in the background as Rashmi looks completely crestfallen.

Enough of that, it's time to clutter up the cast a bit more. We cut to the offices of Mr. Manmohan Rangeela, possessor of a great name and even better hair. Manmo (as he shall be heretofore referred to) is fulfilling our comic relief requirement for this film. His gag is that he's a talent agent for Rahul's company, and he can never get the facts straight about what sort of role the prospects are seeking. As in, do they want to act, direct, compose, choreograph, etc. His secretary Rosy spends her time glaring at him and not doing much else. It's all hilarious.

Anyway, he's on the phone while another hopeful young woman sits at his desk, waiting for him to hang up. I won't go into the details here, but he spends a few minutes trying to explain that talent isn't as important in this industry as contacts and networking are. He then tries to cast her as a heroine, but she wants to be a singer. He reassures her that after their meeting later tonight, he'll know for sure if he can help her. He also adds that Rahul always accepts the people Manmo brings to him, so she can be confident in her career. Things seems to be heating up between the two of them, when they are interrupted by Chandan. This whole business really goes nowhere, so we'll just let them argue over the pretty girl until it's time for Manmo to see Rahul in his office.

Manmo gives Rahul some portfolios of the people he would like to get started. Rahul thanks him, then resumes talking to another hot-shot media guy. He is invited to a social gathering of other hot-shot media guys but Rahul politely declines. His star performer Mallika has a concert that night that he must attend. He offers to send Manmo in his stead, and this is accepted.

Well they set it up, so it's time to see the show. We find ourselves at Mallika's concert, where an eager crowd cheers her on as she brings us "Jadoo Jab Mera Chhaye."
