In
the ensuing chaos of the guards' interruption, Chander slips outside and begins
sneaking around towards the exit. Ninja has somehow eluded capture and is hiding
inside the cab of a truck that Chander passes. As Chander's head passes into view,
Ninja grabs him and holds him in a headlock. Chander is able to break free
and they have a rousing kung-fu (although technically one of them would be using ninjutsu, but who am I to split hairs!) fight that leads them to the rooftops of
the prison.
Fight fight fight, they continue fighting for quite some time (roll that rousing Star Wars music again, Johnny!) until it looks like Ninja has the upper hand, and has Chander pinned against the hood of a truck. Just then, the yard fills with floodlights as a line of Jeeps pulls up to the prison. Many guards pop out of the tops of the vehicles, and begin shooting randomly at the combatants. Ninja has a gun concealed in his glove somehow, and he shoots out all of the floodlights. He also fires a shot that manages to kill three people, despite them not standing in a straight line. Man, that guy is good.
We cut to an alleyway where several more Jeeps are hurtling through the narrow passage. We see Chander hiding behind some garbage bags. He reveals himself when he sees Dilher Singh pass by and explains that he's been attacked by ninjas. (Yet another sentence I truly enjoyed writing!) Dilher doesn't question that claim for a moment - really, would any of us? - and tells him to meet him at Point 4 later when things have calmed a bit.
We
go to Point 4 now, where Dilher pulls up with Asha in a Jeep. Asha's wearing her
stealthiest outfit (white shirt covered in sequins). Chander asks why Asha's
been brought along, and Dilher says they should all go together to meet Asha's
father. Chander says they need to go to Delhi and explain what he's learned, but
they insist that Chander meet Malhotra before they go anywhere else. Chander
finally agrees, on the condition that they make this fast.
The three of them march into Asha's house, but they are stopped immediately by Malhotra who says that he's heard a few things about Chander that he wants to talk about. First of all, he knows that Chander steals his merchandise and sells it to the enemy. After making this claim, the phone rings. Malhotra picks it up to find Bhalla on the line. Bhalla tells him that he knows Chander has come to see him, but he adds that Chander has killed three cops tonight! He tells Malhotra to keep Chander at the house for as long as he can, and the police will be along shortly.
Malhotra
goes back to his "guests." Chander tells him that if Malhotra is willing to let
him go this time, he will proceed immediately to the capital and report on what
he heard happening at Marcelloni's meeting. Outside, the police have arrived.
Malhotra hesitates as Asha pleads with him once more to help Chander, but
Malhotra tells the cops that Chander's a bad guy and should be dealt with.
Seeing that they're kind of stuck, Asha indicates to Chander that she's got an
idea. Chander nods and takes Asha hostage, saying that he now knows that all of
them are in cahoots with the traitors, and he's taken a vow to stop them.
Did I mention the Star Wars music was playing again? No? Chander backs up slowly using Asha as a shield, and dives out a window in the living room. Malhotra walks over to his daughter with a bit of an "I-told-you-so" look on his face, and chides her for wanting to recommend Chander to him. Asha tells him that he's got it all wrong, and that she was there to try and prove to him that Bhalla and Mirza were the ones that were actually betraying the company, as well as the country, by providing arms to the traitors.
Malhotra accuses her of saying these things because she loves Chander and wants to save him. She admits that she does love Chander, but what she's saying is the truth. She tells him that if he's unwilling to believe her, then the country will go to the dogs. With an air of defeat, Asha stalks out of the room leaving her flabbergasted father behind to think about what happened.
Later
that evening, we see Malhotra tiptoeing up to a room where Mirza and Bhalla are
discussing their evil plans. After hearing that what Asha said is true, Malhotra
comes in and calmly tells them that he is disappointed with the performance of
the security forces, and that he has gone over all the records of the company.
He says that it's all been mismanaged, and he is now assuming full control of
operations. Nothing is to enter or leave the company without his permission.
Later still, Marcelloni calls Mirza to go over what happened. Mirza seems pretty relaxed about everything (as does his lovely companion!), but says that Bhalla is feeling very upset about the recent events. Marcelloni says that he should bring Bhalla over to his house in the morning to get some reassurance.
