Wasting no time (and putting little faith into transitions) we leap immediately into the next song. "Likha Hai" shows us the happy couple of Kiran and Sunil living it up in the hills of Switzerland. Yes, you might be thinking that some of these backdrops look remarkably like those we saw in the song, "Darwaza Band Karlo." Let's ignore that and enjoy the song!

Back in India we find Vijay at another cricket match. He seems to be giving it his usual amount of interest and nearly hitting his fellow sports fans with his own cricket bat. Seated a few rows in front of him is Rahul! Rahul hears Vijay offering his expert opinions on the game, and goes up to sit next to him. Rahul introduces himself, but Vijay is too busy with his sideline coaching to pay much attention. Rahul finally gets a few sentences in, and conveys the fact that he is Sunil's boss's son, and he asks where Sunil is spending his honeymoon. Vijay is continually distracted by the game, and just invites Rahul over to the house afterwards to chat.
That
evening we see Poonam and Vijay out on the back porch discussing the match with
Rahul. Rahul casually mentions that his father had said something about Sunil
and Kiran being harassed by an unknown stalker prior to the wedding. This gets
Vijay's attention, and he goes off on a rant about how horrible that person is.
Poonam pipes up and says that she's cursed the stalker, and that when he dies,
it will be a horrible death.
They get into a bickering match about how marriage itself is a curse, and Rahul has to intervene to calm them down. Vijay says that he's afraid that the stalker will come again and attack them to learn the whereabouts of the newlyweds. Rahul tries a few feeble attempts to get them to mention the location, but Vijay says he's sworn an oath to Sunil not to tell anyone. Rahul makes a friendly exit as Poonam and Vijay begin squabbling again.
When
Rahul arrives at his home, his servant tells him that Vicky (aha! That's Mr.
Caine's name!) has called for him five or six times, asking him to come over.
Rahul rushes to Vicky's place, and finds him at death's door. It seems his bad
health and bad habits have teamed up to take him out. Rahul offers to call for
an ambulance, but Vicky tells him not to. He points to a box nearby, and tells
Rahul to open it. Inside, Rahul finds bundles of letters that he had written to
Kiran in college but never mailed them.
Vicky delivers a long-winded speech about how he wasted his life, and begs Rahul to throttle him and end his suffering. Vicky clutches Rahul close and starts convulsing, while Rahul swears that his life was not a waste.
The
next day we see some inspectors going over the room. They can't help but notice
Vicky's body hanging from the ceiling fan from a noose, so they take a few
pictures. The inspector we saw at the hospital is on the scene. He looks around
and sees the un-posted letters to Kiran along with lots of pictures of her
scattered around on the floor. He also finds a "suicide" note, in which "Vicky"
writes that he can no longer live now that Kiran has married another, so he's
ending it all. The inspector looks angry that he was cheated out of his big
sting, but what can you do?
Watch cricket, that's what. We find Vijay and Rahul watching a cricket match on television at Vijay's house. Vijay is dressed in a complete cricket player's outfit and is nervously rocking back and forth on the sofa as he stares intently at the screen. When asked about his attire, Vijay explains that the team is having so much trouble lately that he feels they might call him up to help out, and he wants to be ready should they do so.
The inspector shows up and informs them that the stalker is dead. Rahul takes a keen interest in this news, and asks if they're positive about that. The inspector says they have all the evidence they need to be absolutely sure about this. Poonam tells Vijay to call Sunil in Switzerland to give him the news. Rahul hears the location and excuses himself. It's my thinking that he's a little optimistic about his chances, since Switzerland is not really a small place and Poonam didn't say where in Switzerland they were. Ah well, not my problem I suppose!
