We cut to the boat that Sunil mentioned in the cottage earlier. Kiran is seated on a bench seat at the rear of the boat. She hears the motor start and feels the boat moving, and she looks up in surprise. How she failed to notice someone clearing the moorings, boarding the boat, and entering the cabin that's right in front of her is a mystery for the ages. (sigh) She gets up and takes a few steps towards the cabin and calls out Sunil's name. The man in the cabin turns to face her, and she sees that it's Rahul, still looking pretty torn up after his tussle with Sunil.

Kiran asks him how he was injured, and he tells her that the wounds have been there for ages. They've only recent come to the surface from his heart. Sensing something might be a little fishy about this, she asks him where Sunil is. Rahul coyly tells her that Sunil won't be joining them, as he's dead. Kiran tells him that he's crazy, and he agrees with her. He tells her that she's been his madness and his obsession for years. He then rolls out his now quite worn catch-phrase, "I love you, K-k-k-k-k-k-k-k-k-k-k-iran!" Finally the reality of her predicament hits her like a ton of bricks and she passes out, hitting the deck fairly hard. Rahul throws some water on her face and she snaps right out of it. He begins reflecting on how they were in college, and he can recall everything about what she was wearing and how she acted.

Rahul gets a little too close to Kiran at this point, and she hops to her feet. She tries to get away from Rahul, but he corners her and tells her that she's now free from the one who misled her all along. She refuses to believe what he is saying, so he adds that he has killed Sunil. Kiran doesn't buy that one either, and tells Rahul that no one can kill Sunil. Rahul then lists all of the people that have died because of her - the policemen in the elevator, Vicky, and finally Sunil. He says that if she doesn't do ask he asks, then there's no telling how many more people he's going to have to kill.

Kiran brings up Sunil again, sending Rahul into a rage. He slaps her across the face and immediately begs for forgiveness. Kiran is crying frantically at this point, and begs Rahul to leave her alone. He tells her he can do anything for her except that. He's come too far and done too much to get to her, and he can't give up now. He tells her to get up and change into the sari that he hands to her. He explains that this was the same sari that his mother wore on her wedding day, and now her new daughter-in-law will wear it. He shoos her into the cabin below the deck to get ready.

Kiran plods into the cabin like a zombie as Rahul makes another imaginary phone call to his dead mother on a phone in the cabin. He tells "mom" about the wedding that is about to take place. Kiran can hear him speaking, and hears him say that they're going to meet his mother after the wedding. Realizing that things are looking pretty grim here, Kiran wipes her tears and decides that she's going to do something to stop this. She heads up the short staircase to the main cabin as Rahul is busy setting out wedding implements on the main deck. Kiran takes the key out of the ignition, which draws Rahul's attention. He chases after her as she heads back downstairs and locks the door to the small room. Rahul pounds on the door for a few moments as Kiran leans up against it. Eventually he tires and goes back out to finish setting up the wedding stuff. He decides she's feeling shy and timid, so he leaves her to her business.

Time passes, and Kiran hasn't left her room. It is now dark outside, and it begins raining. Rahul had nodded off, but the rain awakens him. He notices that he's still alone, so he heads down to the door to check on things. Meanwhile, Kiran hears her special radio watch start beeping! She leaps to her feet, thrilled at the idea of Sunil coming to her rescue. Rahul hears her through the door and begins pounding on it with his head.

Rahul finally puts a boot to the door and kicks it in. He grabs Kiran's arm and drags her out of the room and up to the deck for the wedding ceremony. Kiran tries to take the reasonable approach, and says that if one were to think about it, this marriage would have problems. (I don't know, she may be on to something there.) He tells her that it's going to happen as it is their destiny. Kiran then tries another approach - okay, we'll get married, but why not wait until they are back in India with all of their family members around and do things right. Rahul ponders this for a moment before rejecting that idea too. Still stalling, Kiran says they should at least wait until the storm passes. Rahul says that he wants the storm to witness how they will be wed.

As he is carrying on, Kiran takes the opportunity to throw the boat key overboard. Rahul turns back to her and says she really should get changed, as his mother is waiting for the wedding to begin.
