Khanna goes over the facts that he has, such as the missing car and the report of Ajit's disappearance, then brings up the lighter. They ask him how he knows the lighter belongs to Ajit Khurana, and he replies it's due to the initials. We then get to the other big name-dropping scene as the kids come up with all the other possible names that could fit that pair of letters: Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna, and Akshay Kumar. Then Kunal points out that even the Inspector's initials are A.K. - Ashutosh Khanna. Feeling as if they've won some sort of victory, the couple walks off and leaves Khanna there doubting himself.

Back at Simran's place, we find her standing out on the balcony overlooking the pool. She seems worried, and goes inside to call Sameer. She tells him that she's all alone and is scared. Sameer tells her that Kunal and Kajal should have been there by now, and begins to think that something may have gone wrong. They both then start shouting "Hello!" to each other to indicate the line has been cut.

Simran starts lighting candles around the house (not sure why, the power hasn't gone out), and a few are blown out by a strong breeze from an open window. Simran moves to the window and takes a look around, then closes the curtains. As she does this the moist face of Ajit Khurana leaps into the window and stares aggressively (yes, it can be done. I just watched him do it!) at her. Simran panics and begins running backwards for about fifteen paces, eventually bumping into a table and breaking a large vase. She loses her balance and falls down among the pieces of the shattered vase, and turns to look at the window. Ajit is no longer there!

We have several tracking shots of Ajit's eyes, with cuts over to Simran's eyes as they scan the house for each other. Ajit stalks the hallways while Simran whimpers in a darkened room. She goes for the stairs again, and hides in a room at the top. Ajit goes up the same staircase, but chooses to look for her in a different room. When she hears his door close, she comes back out and pauses on the landing, trying to decide what to do next. Oh I don't know, perhaps leave the house? Before she can think of anything that complicated, she hears Ajit's door opening. She crouches down on the landing to hide, and tries to keep quiet. Ajit walks past her head (which is poking up above the landing by a good six inches) and goes into the room Simran just came out of.

Spying her big chance, Simran makes a break for it. She runs back into the room with the broken vase and steps on a piece of ceramic with her bare foot, causing her to scream in pain. This alerts Ajit to her location and he runs over to where he thinks she is. Simran pulls the piece of vase out of her foot and continues running. She gets to the front room and notices Ajit is not exactly following her. He's more or less standing in the room and leering at her. She makes it to the front door where she runs into Sameer.

Sameer tries to get a clear answer out of Simran as to why she's freaking out. She tries to explain that Ajit isn't dead, and that he was just here trying to kill her. He tries repeatedly to convince her that she's just imagining things, but she refuses to calm down.

We cut to the outside of the house where Kunal and Kajal are approaching. They stop short in the driveway and look towards the house where a darkened figure seems to be lurking. Sure enough, as he turns into the light they realize that Ajit Khurana is standing there, less dead than they had thought.

Back inside the debate rages on about the existence of Ajit Khurana, with Sameer taking the "con" side, and Simran ardently defending the "pro" argument. They are interrupted by Kunal and Kajal who enter to back Simran up - they've all seen him. Sameer points out the little detail about how Ajit had been submerged in the pool for several days, making it difficult for him to accept the idea that Ajit isn't dead.
