We have an abrupt cut from the list of celebrities to a water park, where presumably we'll encounter just the type of woman he's looking for. It's our good fortune that there happens to be two dozen young ladies in the pool who spontaneously burst into our first song, "Kitna Intezar."

Permit me to be superficial for a moment. We are introduced to our two leading ladies during this song. Simran, played by Aditi Govitrikar and Kajal, played by Divya Palat. The reason I'm making this comment is that I wanted to make sure Divya Palat got some recognition. In this film, she's playing the role of "the not as cute as the lead actress girl." This is unfortunate since Ms. Palat is clearly more into what she's doing. Even before we get into any dialog from the performers, it's clear that Divya is a better dancer and a more animated performer. Aditi Govitrikar is certainly beautiful - that's not in dispute. What I am going to say is that she's not much of an actress. We'll see more proof of this later, but I just thought it amusing (and mildly depressing) that I was able to pick up on this from the moment these two hit the screen.
As the gals are frolicking merrily in the water, we see Sameer and Kunal lurking about with a camera. They seem to be very proud of themselves for discovering this prime location for taking women's pictures without their consent. I'm thinking there are probably laws against this, but that doesn't seem to be slowing them down. Anyway, long story short - they get a few shots of Simran before getting busted by Kajal. The men flee the scene while Simran attempts to look confused and upset.
Some
time later we see Simran at home putting on some makeup. She glances down to see
a magazine cover prominently featuring her picture. She tries to look shocked
and angry, and grabs the magazine to show her uncle.
Rajan's reaction is not what Simran expected. He is happy for her and is proud that her picture came out so well. Simran explains that her image was used without her permission, and she wants something to be done about it. Kajal notices that this is likely one of the shots those two guys took the other day at the splashy pool, but she also doesn't look too upset about it.
Simran
vows to take action against the publishers of the magazine. She says she's going
to call the Inspector right now. As if on cue (well, I suppose it was!) we have
a cheesy electronic version of Ennio Morricone's whistles from The Good, The
Bad, and The Ugly. In marches the loud and boisterous Inspector Ashutosh
Khanna. They have some playful banter to establish that the good Inspector is an
old friend of the family, and invite him to partake in breakfast.
Simran doesn't want to waste any time, and insists that they go at once to the offices of the magazine and address her problem. She shows him the magazine, and it takes him a little while to realize that it's Simran on the cover. If you were thinking that Khanna may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, you're entitled to a gold star. Once again, Simran rolls her eyes as Khanna compliments and congratulates her on making the cover. Simran and Kajal have to tell Khanna that it's a crime for someone to take your picture and publish it without consent (see, told you), so they head down to the publishing office.
Khanna
barges into the room and starts shouting to see "the loafers." Kunal hears the
commotion and goes to alert Sameer that they've got trouble. Simran spots them
and takes Khanna over for some justice. Their cause is somewhat undermined when
Kajal happily smiles and flirts with Kunal while Simran reads them the riot act.
Khanna starts shouting at Kunal, but Kajal tells him to go easy on Kunal, since
it was Sameer who actually took the pictures.
Khanna gets about six inches away from Sameer's face, and asks him if he knows who Simran is. Not waiting for a reply, he tells Sameer that she is the niece of an important industrialist, Rajan Malhotra. He is here to arrest him for taking her photo and publishing it without consent.
Thinking quickly, Sameer moves away to stand next to Kajal and Kunal. He begins facetiously speaking with Kunal about how stylish and tough Khanna is, and how he would be perfect for a new commercial they are going to make. Khanna begins falling for the flattery, much to Simran's chagrin.
