An odd twist throws a wrench into the already hectic scene. Rama comes running into the middle of the battlefield and hollers at everyone to stop this at once. Oberoi and Jai call for a cease fire, and Rama shouts that they should just kill her and be done with it. She tells them that she was the source of this feud, so they should just kill her and let Sapna and Suraj live their lives.

Oberoi tells her to get out of the way, or else he will kill her too. She tells him to go right ahead. He's already made her life like that of a living corpse. Oberoi hesitates, and she taunts him. Laughing, she tells him that he can't do it. He's always killed people from the back, and can't bear to do it to someone's face! She calls him a coward without compare, which makes him so angry that he finally pulls the trigger.

Rama takes a slug in the shoulder and falls down. Jai fires back at Oberoi and the whole battle erupts again. Sapna goes to Rama's side to see what she can do, while Suraj and Jai go after Oberoi. They split up, and Oberoi manages to get the drop on Jai. For whatever reason, he doesn't fire. Jai turns to look at him, and Suraj shows up on the other side, surrounding Oberoi. Jai gestures with his gun, and Oberoi readies his gun to shoot. However he isn't fast enough, and Jai shoots Oberoi several times, sending him falling over a railing and landing on the ground below. Rama and Sapna go over to him as Jai and Suraj look down from above.

Of course Oberoi has a few final breaths in his body, so we'll get some good "gulp... ah.. ouch...." speeches from him first. He tells Jai that he was wrong - the feud ended with his own blood, not with Jai's. He lists off all the bad things he's done lately, namely stealing Rama in the first place and then shooting her, then he actually apologizes for it. Jai helps him to his feet as tender reconciliation music plays on the soundtrack.

Oberoi tells Jai that a dying man is asking for mercy. He's not led a peaceful life, but he wants a peaceful death. Jai asks him if he has better things to do (sigh) and hugs his old enemy. As they're embracing, Oberoi's arm moves back, and he stabs Jai in the stomach with a knife he had concealed. He pulls back and laughs a little with his remaining strength. Jai staggers backwards with the knife protruding from his abdomen.

Suraj sees the hilt of the knife, and realizes what has happened. He opens fire on Oberoi, shooting him quite a few times until he slumps over. Suraj then picks up his brother, but Jai's had too much damage done in the last few days to pull through this one. He tells Suraj that he's dying because he hadn't learned his lesson. He is glad that the feud is over, and Suraj's love survived. He tells Suraj to go back to Aunt Nameless's village and have a good life. He then breathes his last.

We cut to the village where they are committing Jai's ashes to the river. Suraj floats the small container out into the water as Aunt Nameless and some of the extended family look on. We hear a voiceover from Jai saying that he had promised to come back, and he did. The little jug sinks, and the flowers that were atop it float to the surface. Suraj and Sapna walk back to the family and the comfort each other for a moment.

A quick cut to a setting sun shows us the happy couple walking towards us, as the credits begin to roll.

The End!
