Raghu timidly approaches the building, and after several attempts to shout
out Shersingh's name he manages to belt out a few good calls. As he yells at the
building, a small group of people begins to form around him. Feeling empowered
by the backup, and seeing no reaction from the building itself, Raghu gets
bolder in his insults. He carries on with this threats for some time, unaware
that a large man has walked up behind him. This guy is pretty big, standing a
good foot and a half taller than Raghu. They engage in some comedy where the
large man (presumably Shersingh) answers some of Raghu's questions without Raghu
turning to look at who he's talking to. Finally Raghu turns around and looks
into the face of Shersingh, who has lost his sense of humor about all of this.
Shersingh
starts throwing Raghu around, breaking tables and making a big mess while Raghu
frantically tries to whistle for Suraj to come and help him out. This goes on
for a while, until Raghu manages to trick Shersingh into whistling loudly. This
immediately alerts Suraj, who then comes over to see what's going on. Sadly, at
this point in the DVD the subtitles cut out for the next couple of minutes.
Here's basically what happens:
Suraj tries to reason with Shersingh, and seems to be making gestures to the effect of "he's not worth the trouble of a beating." Shersingh doesn't agree, and pastes Suraj soundly in the jaw. This blow sends Suraj flying backwards and crashing down onto a cart full of bangles. He is stunned, and briefly sees a vision of Sapna from the wedding. He smiles and reclines on the damaged cart, happy to be dreaming of his beloved once again. Raghu comes over to get Suraj back on his feet, but Suraj resists. He's quite pleased to be right where he is.
Raghu
annoys Suraj to the point of getting up again. Suraj goes back over to
Shersingh, and brings the subtitles back with him. He asks Shersingh to hit him
again, and this time to put some stank on it. Shersingh looks a little
surprised, but doesn't let that stop him from hitting Suraj again, much harder.
This punch sends Suraj reeling backwards until he hits a sign, and he slumps to
a seated position. In his vision of Sapna, he hears her asking him why he's
taking such a beating. He tells his imagination that he's doing it for her, but
she tells him to hit him back as hard as he can.
Suraj opens his eyes and asks Raghu where "the walrus" is. Raghu points him in the right direction, and Suraj strides purposefully over to Shersingh. Shersingh asks him if he wants a larger dose, but Suraj stops his fist before he can connect with another punch. Suraj begins beating the daylights out of Shersingh, finishing the bout by bringing a small shop roof crashing down on top of him. Suraj apologizes to Shersingh if he is seriously hurt, but he was only doing what Sapna told him to do. He tells Raghu to go and take his money from Shersingh, and everything will be squared.
We cut back to Oberoi's house (oh right! Forgot about those guys, didn't you!) where the drivers of Sapna's car are reporting to Oberoi about Suraj. Oberoi is none too pleased to hear that some boy is chasing after his sister. He asks the man why he didn't kill the boy for what he had done, but the man replies that he thinks Sapna knew who the amorous young man was. Oberoi looks really angry at this news. Oberoi then asks if the driver knew who the boy was, and he reluctantly tells him that it was none other than Jai's brother Suraj. This causes a crazy gleam to appear in Oberoi's eye, and he says that's impossible.
We
cut back to Suraj and Raghu. Suraj says that he really loves Sapna, and that he
wants to go see her today. Raghu points out that to do so would mean venturing
into enemy territory. Suraj tells him that love knows no enemies, and he won't
be stopped. We jump cut to Sapna's room for Dushmani's version of the
famous balcony scene. Suraj pops into her window and calls her over to talk to
him. Sapna is more than a little surprised to see him there, and tells him that
he should go before her brother finds out. She hides behind a post in her room,
and refuses to come out and look at Suraj. He taunts her by saying that he'll
make a lot of noise and alert the house if she doesn't come out to see him, so
she finally does. They stare at each other with googly-eyes for a minute before
she tells him he's seen enough and needs to get out of there.
