Once that confusing bit is over, it's back to the story. If you'll recall, this movie is all about the struggle for one boy to overcome cancer. Oh, you'd forgotten about that? Seems the movie has as well.

Moosa shows up at the movie theater to make the exchange. Ishaq is revealed to be as intact as he ever was, much to Moosa's relief. Balli leaves Moosa alive as his "punishment," then heads out.

We see a cop making a report to Khan that a private flight has been chartered out of the region, and that it was paid for in cash by Lachhu. I thought one of the reasons a lot of "shady" dealings went down using cash was that so people couldn't trace the transaction. Oh well.

Ah! Finally we check in at the hospital again. We see Sahil coughing up more jelly, and Veer gets a phone call. That's about it. Now, having seen this movie at least four times now, I can assume that this call is coming from the same source that told Veer about Khan's plan to kill Balli at Moosa's earlier. I'm supposing that they're telling Veer about Lachhu chartering a flight out of town. This is never stated however, so please take my word for it.

Back to the car. Balli is driving to the airfield with Lachhu and Tara. Lachhu and Balli are in high spirits about finally getting away from all this, but Tara looks troubled. She starts pressuring Balli about helping Sahil. She tells him that she'll go with him wherever he says, but her smile will die with Sahil. Lachhu tries to persuade Balli to ignore her about this, but Balli slams on the brakes and does an 180 before he gets to the plane. Tara smiles, realizing she has gotten through to him. As she tells him she loves him, the car is plowed into from the side.

On a technical note here, I think that the real actors are in the car when this hit takes place. We see several close shots through the windows, and I am almost positive it's really them in there. I thought that was a rather impressive fact, given the number of times they've used long, loving close-ups of mannequins in car crashes in other Bollywood movies.

Of course now that Balli's decided to do the honorable thing, it's time for the final showdown with Khan. (That was Khan's car that hit them.) A car chase begins with about a million police Jeeps chasing after Balli's gang. Get used to the same car crash Foley sound being used over, and over, and over again. Sometimes even overlapping. This sequence goes on for quite some time, so I'll skip the details. The end result is that Balli's car and Khan's car are the only two left, and they face off in a dramatic duel of sorts.

It's rather like a game of chicken, only instead of just having two cars driving towards each other, Balli and Khan are standing up through sunroofs and shooting madly at each other while the cars speed through a warehouse.

Long story short, it appears they miss each other the whole time. For whatever reason, Khan's car flips up into the air just as the two cars pass each other. I'm thinking it's because it drove over that pneumatic ram on the floor, but that's not my area of expertise. Oh, and we're treated to an obvious mannequin taking over Khan's role for a moment.

Balli flops back down into the car, and we can see he has sustained two wounds, one in his shoulder and one in the armpit (on the opposite side). Tara looks panicked, but Balli gets out of the car and walks over to the wreckage of Khan's vehicle. Khan's got a nasty boo-boo on the side of his face. The viewers who care to think back far enough will recognize this as the same picture that was used to introduce Khan in the opening credits. Thanks for the hint, movie.

Balli and Khan have another Movie Poster Pose as they stare at each other. Khan dry clicks his pistol at Balli, who chuckles at Khan's bad luck. Then he shoots him.

Once again, Veer shows up after all the crap has already ended, and they take Balli to the hospital.
