Cue up "Dil Mein Jigar Mein," which is a fast paced and somewhat energetic number. You can see how it fits perfectly on the tail end of all that "your son is going to die, go do a hopeless search for us" business.

Our friends at Stomp Tokyo called attention to this scene as well. Now I'm a fan of Jackie Shroff. Among the many actors at work in Bollywood, this guy is one of the better ones. However he's just clearly not into this song. Particularly the part where he is behind Raveena Tandon and they're supposed to hop every so often. You can see him snapping his fingers and counting "3...4...5" while he stares at her feet to know when to do the little hops. She does fine here and gets into it. However, her energetic performance has the unintended effect of making Jackie look even more unprepared. Oh well, it doesn't last very long.

The song ends very abruptly, and leaves us looking at Veer and Naina in bed again. They're both wearing rather confused expressions, much like the one I had by this point.

We cut back to the hospital where the doctor is asking Veer if he's had any luck. I still can't believe that it's Veer's job to do this, but what are you gonna do? We also get reports that Sahil's condition is getting worse.

Back at the house, Naina is giving a speech about how all she ever asked for was a small happy family, and how that is being taken from her. As she's doing the speech, it's phrased in such a way as it could be taken that she was bawling out Veer, but it turns out she's speaking to a small shrine. She tells God that if Sahil dies, then there is no more room in her life for God. Veer comes in to tell her that she won't have to go through that, since a donor has been located.

They excitedly head over to the hospital to meet with the doctor. He tells them that a donor was found by checking recent patients at another hospital (Wow! Now that's good thinking!). He tells them that they can proceed very soon. As Naina discusses the details of the procedure, Veer is looking at the report with an unhappy expression. He says that he refuses to accept this donor for his son, since the donor is a criminal that Veer pursued for four years. Balwinder Singh, or Balli as he is known to all, is a psychopathic killer that has murdered at least 14 people. Veer is adamant that they find another donor.

Also of note, this is the first time Naina's name appeared in the subtitles. Almost 38 minutes into the show!

A nurse bursts into the room to tell the doctor that Sahil's having another episode. We get to watch a somewhat unpleasant scene of the little boy convulsing on the bed as he coughs up lots of blood and makes a big mess. The medical staff finally gets him under control and Naina asks Veer if he still thinks they should wait for another donor. Veer gets a pensive and remorseful look on his face and we cut away.

We're now in prison, looking out through the bars as a police official is addressing "Convict 311." He explains the situation to him while Balli does pull-ups in his cell. Balli tells the cop that he wants to meet with the person whose son he is being asked to help.

Balli is led in chains to a big meeting room, which appears to be in a dungeon. He sees Veer is there, and gets a rather wicked grin on his face when he realizes that he's supposed to help the man who put him away.
