The fight goes on for some time, with the major events being that Peston comes out to investigate the noise and takes a slug in the arm for his trouble. This enrages Vijay to the point of mercilessly pounding on Suraj against one of the stables. Suraj yells out for the others to set fire to the place. This they do.

Vijay manages to get the horses cut loose and Johnny Lever drags Peston to safety. Suraj and his cronies get away, and laugh at the destruction they have wrought. He calls Durjan to report on the events of the night, and his father is quite pleased. They discuss the engagement party that is coming up, which leads us right to it.

Saxena is introducing the unhappy couple to the assembled masses when Vijay comes bursting through the door looking more than a little pissed off. He attacks Suraj and starts beating him up in front of the guests. They call for their all-purpose damage dealer, Ajay. He shows up and they begin to fight. We start seeing quick cuts to Durga's house where she is sleeping. Suddenly her portrait of her sons falls off the wall and wakes her. She takes this to be a sign and starts clutching the picture to her chest and looking worried.

The men beat each other savagely, smashing up furniture, bottles, and anything else that happens to be nearby. Durga runs to the temple to Kali and sees all the hanging bells are swinging around, making lots of noise. She begins to pray feverishly as the boys wind up for a last bout. As they are nearing each other, a (sadly fake-looking) lightning bolt strikes the ground between them and makes them stop. They stare at each other and try to understand what has happened.

As they are trying to remember, Saxena comes out of the house with a double-barreled shotgun. He misses with his first shot, but lines up for his second. Ajay runs over and knocks the gun off target and tells them not to shoot. He instinctively calls out, "Run Arjun! Run!" as he wrestles with Saxena over control of the gun. Vijay looks confused, but is compelled to flee.

As Vijay is outside, he is lightly bumped into by Durjan's car. He gets up and covers his face to block the light from the headlights, so the occupants of the car do not get a good look at his face. He runs away into the night as Saxena tells the police inside to arrest Ajay.

Durjan is not very happy to hear that his future daughter-in-law is no longer interested in his son. He threatens to kill her while holding onto her hair, and tells her that his son's love is the only thing that's keeping him from killing her where she stands.

Back at what's left of the ranch, we see Vijay and Johnny Lever gathering up the horses and talking about the fight. Vijay can't understand why he'd stop fighting all of a sudden, or why he'd obey the command to run. Johnny tells him that "Run Arjun! Run!" is the same phrase he was saying in his sleep the other night.

We cut to the prison where Ajay is having the same talk with Bindiya. He can't understand why he would say such a thing to someone he didn't know. They notice that Vijay has come to the prison to meet Ajay.

They begin to ask questions of each other, and wonder why it feels like they know each other. Ajay tells him he doesn't know why he said what he did - he doesn't even know anyone called Arjun. Vijay says he doesn't either. He makes a formal introduction and thanks him for saving his life. He pledges that should Ajay ever find himself in such a situation he will repay the debt.

As if things weren't bad enough, when Vijay gets back to the ranch there is a letter waiting for him from Sonia. She writes to tell him that she's being forcibly taken to Durjan's mansion to be wed. If he doesn't come to rescue her, she will take poison and die rather than be married to Suraj. No pressure.
