As
this is going on we cut away to Durga, Karan, and Arjun approaching the
absolutely huge mansion. The boys look around in wonder as Durga's face fills
with apprehension. The Accountant comes out to greet them, and tells them that
the thakur has been talking about them all morning. They go in to see their
grandfather. He apologizes for all that has happened between them, and they have
a tearful reunion.
He tells them that he wants to make things right, and that she and her sons are now the heirs to his fortune. As he's saying this, Durjan, Shamsher, and Nahar come in and voice their opinions of the matter. Durjan tells them that he will kill them all before they ever get their hands on the mansion that he feels is rightly his. Durga tells him that they don't want any of it. They were happy to have the old wounds patched up and will happily go. Durga takes the boys out of the room and they leave the mansion.
Shamsher and Nahar ask Durjan why he let them go. He makes a big speech about how he will kill them in time, just like he did their father. This revelation is news to the thakur and he begins to protest, but Durjan strangles him to death.

We rejoin the family as they are walking home. A large group of men brandishing swords led by Shamsher and Nahar begin to chase them on horseback. Durga tells K&A to run away and they rush about. It's all for naught however, as they are quickly surrounded. A lasso is tossed around each of the boys and they are dragged all over the place by horses while Durga screams for them to let them go.
A nod to the actors here, that's really them being dragged. We get a couple of closer shots and can clearly see their faces.
Of
course her pleas fall on deaf ears, and the men begin to taunt her. They grab
her arms but she pulls one of them close and bites his hand. Enraged, Shamsher
hits her on the head with the pommel of his sword. She drops to the sand with a
nasty looking gash on her forehead.
Arjun sees this and manages to get to his feet, pulling the rider off of his horse. The men see this and run over to finish him off. Karan takes the hint and does the same to his rider, but is able to reach Durga where she fell. He sees she is not seriously wounded then runs over to help Arjun fight the riders.
Things
get a little hairy as the boys pull people off of their horses, and they begin
to take a few cuts from the swords. They decide the best bet is to retreat, and
they try to run off towards Durga. However Karan takes a serious slash in the
back, and is halted. He screams, "Run, Arjun! Run!" as he fights the
man who cut him. Arjun doesn't do as he's told, and rushes back to help his
brother. It's basically over at this point, and the brothers are slain by Durjan
(who apparently arrived late to the fight).
As he triumphantly slams the finishing swords into the boys, we see some close-ups of the statue of Kali in the temple as lightning flashes around it. Durga comes running into the temple and cries out to the statue that her sons cannot die.
