The adversaries square off and begin wire-fu'ing each other in a pretty impressive fight.

As the battle rages on, police backup arrives and forms a circle around the pit. Anant gestures for them not to shoot. The fight continues and Anant seems to be coming out ahead. However, with all the exertion and smoke from the burning car, his asthma begins bothering him. As he struggles to get his inhaler out, Angre takes advantage of the opportunity and gets Anant in a headlock. They struggle for a few moments before Anant is able to get his strength back and throw Angre off of him. As Angre rises from the throw, he once again magically generates the hand-axe (where does he keep that thing?) and gives Anant a good scratch.

Anant sees that the battle has escalated to weapons, so he produces Shekhar's belt. He begins whipping Angre savagely with the metal buckle, and manages to lash the axe out of his hand. Angre relents to the beating and falls to the ground while Anant continues to lash him in his blind rage. He takes the belt and wraps it around Angre's neck and pulls his head back while Ashwin watches in horror from the top of the pit. Angre finally collapses to the ground, and Anant continues to kick him in the ribs.

The assembled cops can see the fight is over, and they make their way down the sides of the pit. They wrestle Anant away from Angre and try to calm him down. Anant is finally subdued and shakes off the police. He straightens his jacket and stares at Angre with contempt.

We go from the fighting pit to court. The judge tells the assembled people that in light of the evidence they have, they declare the charges against Dr. Ansari to be false. They continue by saying that Angre, Naidu, and Deodhar are all guilty of the crimes they've committed and are hereby sentenced to life imprisonment. At this announcement, Angre turns and gives Anant the stink eye. Then he twists it into a nasty little smirk.

Outside the courthouse, Anant is visiting with Ansari's family. He tells his son to walk with his head high as his family name has been cleared. He tell tells Ansari's mother that he will take care of the costs of his education. Nearby, Ashwin is leading Angre to a van for his trip to jail. He stops near Anant, and makes the comment that revenge is like wine - the older it gets the bigger the kick. He tells Anant that he will regret this day. Anant regards him coolly, then tells Ashwin to take him away.

Our flashback ends (What?! Yes, we go to the scene we saw at the very beginning of the film where Ashwin is looking out the window of the van and feeling pensive.) as they head off to jail. In the back of the van, Angre's hood is removed and he looks around. He hears the sound of metal clinking together, and notices the bolt on the end of the rail he is handcuffed to is loose. He watches the guard that is supposed to be watching him, but he seems to be settling in for a nice nap. Angre casually slides down the bench towards the loose end of the rail. He reaches up and slides his cuff off the end of the bar. Up front, we see Ashwin driving. A voice calls from the back to stop the van at once!

With the screeching of tires the van comes to a halt. Ashwin jumps out and runs to the back, where he sees Angre leading the guard out of the van with his own rifle.
