So once again, we have a film that blatantly portrays the horrible murder of a child. Sheesh! At least it wasn't as graphic as before. We go from this grisly scene to find our heroes on a train. We have a musical montage of them traveling across the countryside while "Uppar Wale" plays. This is a cool song, as are all of them in this film.

They finally arrive at the police HQ in Chandangarh. They are led into a holding cell where Ansari is roughly led to meet them. Anant slowly walks over to him, and begins to lecture Ansari about how he is hurting the community. We learn that Ansari has not spoken a word since his arrest. Anant tells him that he is going to deliver him to Mumbai, no matter what. After he has said his piece, Anant leaves the cell.

The other officers remain in the cell. Shekhar begins explaining to Ansari that there are two types of justice. One is delivered in a court. The other is delivered out of court, right there on the spot. That's the kind that Shekhar thinks he needs, and is perfectly okay to hand it out. He begins punching Ansari in the head. He explains that if they run into any kind of trouble on the road, they'll "deliver justice" to him with no hesitation. As he's saying this, Ashwin looks very upset and leaves the cell.

Shekhar steps outside after he is finished, and looks pretty pleased with himself. He asks Ashwin if he saw how he was tough on Ansari. Ashwin tells him that was no display of courage, since Ansari was basically the same as the targets on the shooting range - he couldn't hit back. Shekhar mockingly applauds him for his point and tells him that they are even.

In the chief's office, Anant is listening to the chief tell how much more relaxed everyone will be once Ansari is gone. He offers his best wishes to Anant on his mission. Anant asks if he really means to offer his condolences, and both men have a laugh. Another officer interrupts them with news that a woman named Mahalaxmi has called from a boarding school nearby. She has reported some suspicious people staying at the school and she wants someone to come check them out. Anant asks if he might come along with the dispatch to check it out. As he is doing so, he gets a call from Naidu. Naidu tells him that the photographer and his family were blown up. Strangely this doesn't phase Anant too much, and he tells Naidu that they are on their way to investigate some suspicious activity.

Over at the school, we see Angre is in one of the rooms, talking with a man who has an injured leg. The injured man is attempting to convince Angre that he is well enough to do his job for him, and that his wound won't slow them down. Angre tells him that he needs rest, and gestures to one of the other men in the room.

We find the guys from Mumbai in the back of a pretty durable looking police transport van. Mhatre points out that Shekhar isn't wearing a bulletproof vest (although, neither are the rest of them from the looks of it), and seems very relaxed for someone that is about to investigate a terrorist report. Shekhar explains that from the sounds of things, Mahalaxmi is just some old lady who has seen too much TV and wants to make a name for herself by attempting to expose some imaginary terrorists.

I'm guessing "Mahalaxmi" is a classical kind of name that isn't used much these days, sort of like "Eleanor" or "Gladys."

They ask him how he can be so sure of all this. Shekhar explains that he has good "police instincts." He claims these instincts are very strong, and he has never gone wrong before.
