The van pulls up to the school and they men pile out. Shekhar begins barking orders to the group then takes a look around. He spies an elderly lady standing not too far away, and smiles smugly at the others. He does an "I told you so," then heads over to talk to her. He taps her on the shoulder and asks if she called. She says that she did, and Mhatre looks very impressed. He asks where "they" are, and the woman tells him "they" are at home crying. Shekhar looks a bit confused at that last one. He asks why they are crying, and she explains that she told them they were coming. Shekhar looks quite flustered at this point and asks her why she'd tell them that they were on their way? She said that was the only way she could pacify them. They finally get it worked out that the woman thinks they are cable repairmen, and "they" who are crying are her grandsons who are missing a cricket match on television.

Mhatre tells Shekhar that his instincts failed him, but Ashwin got it right. We see him with a gorgeous young woman who is excitedly talking to him. Shekhar sees her, and tells Mhatre that "those blue eyes will kill me." They hurry over to talk to her. Shekhar bumps Ashwin out of the way and introduces himself as Ashwin's senior officer, and he'll handle it from here. Ashwin notices that Anant has also come by, and trumps Shekhar by bringing him over.

Mahalaxmi takes them to a small courtyard where they can see the room in question. She says that she's been watching, and no one has come out. She reacts in horror when the men draw their weapons, and Anant tells her to get the children to a safe room and not to come out until they hear from him. We have some rapidly cut footage of the men storming into the room, kicking in doors and rapidly searching for the terrorists. However, all of the rooms appear to be empty. That is, except for the body on one of the beds.

As they call for a roadblock to be set up, Shekhar investigates the corpse. It has a red handkerchief draped over it, and there is a pistol sticking out of the man's face (!). He declares that not even his mother would recognize him. They have also burned the man's hands, so fingerprints are impossible to check. As he is rattling off his description, the phone begins to ring. Mhatre moves to answer it, but Anant reflexively shouts for him to stop. Anant carefully inspects the phone, and notices that there are some extra wires running to it. He traces them to an explosive device in the desk drawer under the phone. He also notices a newspaper underneath the phone with some faint impressions on it. He picks it up and takes it with him.

The police meet downstairs to get things settled. Mahalaxmi is insistent that they clear out the room with the corpse immediately. Shekhar attempts to calm her down with some halfway funny jokes, but she doesn't see the humor. Ashwin tries a different approach, and asks her why she called the police to begin with. She explains that she saw some of the children in class playing with a bullet. He asks if she could positively ID any of the men. She says that she didn't get a good look at all of them, but she could definitely pick one of them out of a lineup. We see a quick flashback of the men arriving at the school. She can clearly see Angre as he strides into the building.

Anant enters the room and tells the others to arrange for some security for Mahalaxmi. She tells them that she's not staying here. She only came for a three month program, and is heading back to Mumbai. She says that she's done her duty as a responsible citizen by calling them here, and now she wants to go back to her own business.
