Ballu
doesn't think this is a good idea, and attacks Ram. They go flying out of the
door of the church into the graveyard outside. This fight is kind of rough, but
it's got a cool setting. The light coming through the trees and the slight haze
on the image makes it look very stylish.
Also, I'm not sure if it was intended to be symbolic of anything, but there are a lot of moments where people are getting thrown into headstones shaped like crosses.
Ballu accuses Ram of exploiting his mother to find him. Ram takes a good beating for a while until Arti comes out and starts slapping Ballu around with a stick. She's frustrated that he won't see her reasoning for her request. All Ballu can see is that his own mother is beating him for the sake of a policeman that's trying to capture him. He tosses Arti into a tree headfirst, which enrages Ram.
Ram goes on a rampage and pummels Ballu fiercely. Arti wasn't badly hurt from her bump on the head, so she cries out for Ram to go easy on Ballu. She once again pulls Ballu off of Ram and he throws her down again, this time into a fence post.
Did I mention this is a rather stressful scene for what up until now hasn't been all that serious of a movie? Although Ballu did promise to Ganga that he would become the worst villain the world had seen. I'd say beating up your mother who is only trying to save you from being shot to bits would qualify as an evil deed.
Ballu
manages to locate that ubiquitous hatchet on the ground, and starts swinging at
Ram. He actually manages to connect with one of his wild swings, but it must
have hit with the flat part since Ram isn't horribly wounded by the blow. He
does fall down though, and his wallet (I think) falls to the ground, with a
picture of Ganga showing.
Remember, Ganga only told Ballu that she was with someone else, but not who they were. Ram asks if he recognizes her. He tells Ballu that if not for the love of his mother, Ram would have killed Ballu a long time ago for keeping Ganga hostage. Ballu throws the hatchet at him and once again hits with the flat side. He runs away while Ram is stunned.
After a reassuring shot of Arti coming to, we see Ballu running along some train tracks. Sophia (hey, welcome back to the movie Sophie) and a couple of thugs are waiting on an overpass to pick him up.
A
quick jump to the prison where Ganga is being held for her crime shows the
Pandey's scolding her for what she did, and what she's currently doing to Ram's
name. It looks bad that the wife-to-be of a prominent policeman was associating
with the criminal element for so long, and defending him when he was nearly
caught.
Enough of that! We see Ballu comfortably back in his criminal element with Sophia. As he is drunkenly lolling his head around on hers, Roshan walks in looking smarmy and victorious. Ballu tells him he has some lofty ambitions, and wants to get working on them. He asks to have Ram Sinha's body brought to him by the next day. He also wants his mother to come and live with them. I don't think she's going to go for that, but oh well!
Arti
is looking at some pictures of Ganga on the wall at Ram's place when some goons
show up at the door and order her to come with them at gunpoint. She sees that
she has little choice, and comes with them.
Ballu has decided to kick off his return to crime with a large party. After an odd look at Roshan and a champagne bottle opening, we crank up the tunes and have another musical number. It seems that Sophia only knows one song, so we'll have an encore of the theme song done in a slightly different style.
