We see a few cuts to Ganga in jail, and Ram getting his guns loaded while the song's going on. We are also shown a few flashbacks to times Ballu and Ganga spent together, including all the nice things she did for him. Could it be possible that our Khal Nayak is having second thoughts?
Arti
appears a few times as she's being driven to the hideout by the goons. It's not
until they get to the mansion that they take off her locator watch, so the cops
have a good idea of where to go. Arti is led into the big party room where she
wastes no time in making up for her lack of discipline. A quick slap on Ballu's
face starts us off. Ballu has the gall to be surprised when she hits him! Arti
begins recounting all the times she should have smacked him when he was a kid.
She tells him that she wishes she had if it could have spared all the trouble
that came later on.
Arti tells Ballu that he is dead to her, and she no longer claims him as a son. She would rather be Ram's mother, since he's one of the good guys. Ballu tells her that if she's so set on leaving to be with the people she'd rather claim then she should kill him for real. He gives her a pistol and tells her to shoot him. She thinks about it for a while, then instead turns the gun on Roshan.
She
thinks that if she's going to kill someone, he'd be the most likely candidate.
Since he's the one that kinda set all this in motion, I'd have to agree. Ballu
is confused in his alliances, and instead of protecting and helping his mother,
he wrestles the gun away from her and tells Roshan that he wants to take her to
Singapore with him.
Ram is now outside, and hears on the radio that they believe all the bad guys are hiding on the island.
Enough of that cop stuff, we're back to the interesting people. Sophia is trying to give Arti some dinner, but she's not interested. Arti informs Ballu that while he can drag her along with him as a woman, he can't drag her as a mother. He asks what he would have to do for her to come along willingly. She says that she wants him to beg Ganga for a pardon since she's in jail because of him.
Just then the phone rings. Roshan is aware of the cops nearby, and tells Ballu to take the next boat out to Singapore. He'll bring Arti along on the next ship. Once they hang up, Roshan declares Arti to be Ballu's weakness, and he wants her eliminated. He tells his goons to get her out onto the ocean then throw her overboard.
Boom, it's the next day. We see Arti in a speedboat with some of the unsavory figures. Meanwhile, Ballu and Sophia are boarding their vessel. However, their escort group locks them in their cabin. When Roshan is informed, he's angry that the murder is taking place at the same time Ballu is leaving. He really didn't intend for Ballu to witness it, since that might have a pernicious effect on Ballu's loyalty.
Sophia's eagle eyesight spots Arti's boat as she's a good 400 feet away with the sun behind her. This girl should be a sniper. She alerts Ballu to the problem just as Arti's driver jumps into the ocean and swims off. He left the motor running, so I'm not sure what's stopping Arti from moving to the stern of the boat and just piloting herself back to land. That's not as dramatic as what we're about to have though, so she'd better not.
As Ballu looks on, the cops arrive in a bunch of boats in a sneak attack on the island. Arti manages to fall out of the little boat once she's not too far from the police, and Ram leaps to her rescue. Ballu goes nuts in his cabin and manages to knock out a panel on the floor. He drops through into the water and heads to shore.
The
cops storm the beachhead and quickly take out the resistance. Ballu comes ashore
and sees The Last Hoodlum still on his feet. He tells Ballu a bunch of stuff
that I was surprised he knew. Namely, that Roshan had plotted to kill Arti, and
also was the one responsible for the death of Ballu's sister. He then has the
audacity to say that be couldn't hide this secret from him. Why does he now have
a problem with this when he's been at Ballu's side for the whole movie? Ah well.
He tosses his machine gun to Ballu and sends him on his way.
