Tony
lights a smoke and asks Patil who it was that originally contracted them for the
threat on Gosai. Patil tells him that it's a bad idea to think along those
lines, but Tony shuts him up with a stomp. Patil tells him it was Mallya behind
all of this. He warns Tony that Mallya is a very dangerous man, then he asks
Tony for a smoke. Tony obliges him and lets him take one from his pack. However,
when Patil asks him for a light Tony's generosity runs out, and he grabs a small
throw pillow and puts it over Patil's head. He then proceeds to shoot Patil in
the head through the pillow no less than nine times. Amazingly, there is
absolutely no blood on the white sofa from this.
Sapna looks appropriately alarmed at how her day's been going. Tony tells her that he noticed Patil's guys waiting outside, and that it is not safe for her there anymore. I think she'd probably worked that out for herself already, but anyway.
We cut to Mallya's place. We get a few moments of Mallya hanging out in his living room with his sons and a few people we haven't met. Mallya wanders around the room, then sniffs something off of his thumb. This ends the scene. Thanks movie!
We
cut over to Tony and Goli's apartment. Sapna is there with the guys as they are
packing up some suitcases. As they are heading for the door, the phone begins
ringing. Tony asks Goli if he had paid the bill, since up until now the phone
had been disconnected. Goli tells him he didn't pay anything, so Tony goes in
for a closer look. He follows the cord down the wall and under the bed where he
finds a bomb has been placed underneath his bunk. He looks out the window to see
a parked car with four men sitting inside. The man in the passenger seat is
using a cell phone, and is looking up at the apartment.
Down in the car, the caller is confused as to why no one has answered yet. Underneath the car, we see a hand unplugging a conspicuously easy to find hose and yellow liquid begins dribbling out. Of course this was Tony, and yet again he has managed to approach a car without being seen by four people who are actively watching his house. (sigh) One of the more observant members of the surveillance team notices Tony in their rear-view mirror and calls attention to him. Tony nonchalantly drops his cigarette into the trail of gas that is leaking from the car, and ignites it. The men inside the car notice this, and do nothing to try to get out of the car. They all look concerned and mildly upset until they explode. After that their expressions are hard to read.
Tony
heads downtown to visit the business offices of Mallya's company. He gets into
the main office where the Sinha (remember way back to the warehouse) is sitting
behind a desk. Tony beats up the two security men in the room, then calmly takes
one of their guns and has a seat in front of Sinha. He calmly tells Sinha that
he would like to have a word with Mallya, should he be available.
Sinha doesn't seem phased at all by this. He calls the Mallya residence and asks to be put through to the boss. Mallya takes the call on the speakerphone, and tells Sinha to wait for a moment. Mallya's younger son Vijay is visiting for his birthday, and helpfully provides some exposition about his evening plans to his father, as well as anyone that may be listening to the speakerphone. Vijay is sent on his way, and Mallya gets down to business.
Sinha explains his situation, and Mallya seems a little startled to hear Gosai's name come up. Sinha says that he will be shot if he doesn't set up a meeting between Tony and Mallya. Mallya looks smug for a bit, then Sinha asks if he is willing to meet with Tony or not. Mallya decides to call Tony's bluff and says that he will not meet with him. Tony immediately shoots Sinha in the chest. Mallya bolts up in his chair and asks what happened (not the sharpest knife in the drawer, is he?). Sinha's dying words are "Shot me," then he collapses.
We cut from the office to a dance club. We see a giant birthday present on one of the walls and young Vijay partying hard with his buddies. After a few scenes of loud music and dancing, a cell phone starts to ring. it's a pretty fancy phone that shows the picture of the person calling. In this case, a headshot of Mallya appears on the phone. However, the phone goes unnoticed by everyone since they've gone over to open the present. Tony makes an entrance and spots the phone, which he takes for himself.
Over at the birthday present, an elaborate display of unwrapping (yes, such a thing exists) reveals that Vijay has received quite the gift - Sapna is inside the box wearing a rather suggestive cowgirl outfit. They begin to dance while "Bicchi Padi Hai" plays in the club.
