Everyone
is pleased with how the video came out, and congratulate themselves on a job
well done. Goli comes over to give Tony a hard time about how he couldn't keep
his hands off of Sapna while they were performing. Tony tells him to shut up,
but also giggles a little bit. (Bobby Deol giggling = not good.) Sapna and
Pankaj are on their way out when Sapna remembers she's not bid farewell to her
dancing partner. She comes over to Tony and compliments his performance, and
shakes his hand. He doesn't let her go right away, and we have a little slow
motion shot as he clings to her fingers a little longer than most handshakes
last.
Goli
tells Tony that now he's got that out of his system, he should forget about her.
Tony tells him, "Nothing doing," (slightly paraphrased) and asks when one of
their associates gambling money "goes out." Goli indicates that today's the day
for that, and we ramp up the excitement with a game of chicken. Tony races down
a crowded alleyway and collides head-on with the car that is presumably carrying
the gambling money. Of note, the simulated actions of the men being jerked to a
halt would bring tears of gratitude to a certain
Mr.
Malanowski's eyes. The riders in the opposing car are completely
incapacitated, but have no fear - Goli and Tony don't have a scratch. Tony hops
out and steals a case from the back of the car. They find a disappointingly
small haul of cash, but it is enough for Tony's purposes.
What
purposes you may ask? Well since Tony's on a mission to win over Sapna, he's got
to dress for success. We see Tony and Goli hitting the mall to get Tony a new
suit. As he is checking himself out in a mirror, he and Goli play around with
watches and hose Goli down with cologne. I wish I was making this up.
We cut from the men frolicking in Penny's to a recording studio. The engineers give the booth a thumbs up, and Sapna starts to sing. We cut outside to see Pankaj arguing with some random business guy about a fee. Pankaj notices Tony nearby and goes over to greet him. Tony makes up some nonsense about being there at the studio to prepare a song that only Sapna could do justice to. As he's saying this, Sapna comes outside. She gives Tony a few lengthy looks, but gets into a car with her entourage without talking to him. In a moment of curious editing, we then cut back to the mall. Tony and Goli are at a jewelry counter when suddenly Sapna walks past. She gives them a smile then continues on her way. The clerk at the counter brings a locket over to Tony for his approval. He opens it to see two heart-shaped pictures inside of himself and Sapna. I'm sure this is all perfectly normal behavior. (Also, what is it with Bobby Deol and lockets?)
We
cut to a temple where Sapna is praying to a statue of
Ganesha. She turns from her prayers to leave, when she notices Tony standing
nearby also apparently engaged in praying. She continues past him for a few
paces, then stops to speak to him. She asks him if he comes there often, and he
admits that this is his first visit. He elaborates and tells her that he came
there specifically to see her. He then continues his impressive confession
streak and tells her that he's fallen in love with her, and wants to marry her.
Sapna starts to get an odd look on her face about this time, and turns her back
to him. He then gives her the locket he had made, and she reacts uncomfortably to the pictures inside. He tells her that if she needs him to meet
with any of her family members first, he's up for it.
Sapna pauses for a moment to look at him, then tells him that she's going to take him to meet someone. Tony primps for a moment, and comments to himself that things are looking like they are all set for him.
