We
cut to Tony and Sapna sitting in the backset of a SUV as they ride through town.
Tony looks very introspective as he watches the city go by. They come to a stop
at a light, and he sees a small family sending their little boy off to school.
As the bus pulls in front of them, our view is blocked. As it moves forward a
little, the little boy's parents have been replaced by Tony and Sapna! Tony
watches this scene in his mind with a joyous expression. They happily pack the
kid onto the bus and wave as it pulls away. As they turn to walk home, Tony
notices that Sapna still has a small box that was supposed to go with their son.
Tony gets quite nasty with her and tells her she's always forgetting to give the
snacks to their son. The real Tony in the SUV starts shouting at the imaginary
Sapna about being so forgetful, making the real Sapna in the SUV wonder what the
heck he's shouting about. Embarrassed, Tony tells her it was nothing, and they
drive on.
The SUV comes to a stop outside a nursing home. Sapna takes Tony inside, and checks him in. Just kidding, they ask to see a doctor. They are brought into a waiting room, and meet with Dr. Ajay Saxena. Tony introduces himself, but Ajay can't stay long. He goes off to file a report, and tells them he will be right back. As he leaves, Sapna gives Tony his locket back. She explains that the doctor is her fiancé, and they have known each other all of their lives. She continues to speak, but her voice is muted out and sad music plays while the camera makes several pans back and forth across a very depressed looking Tony.
We
cut from the waiting room to a busy street at night. There seems to be a bit of
a traffic jam, and we soon see what's causing it. Tony is feeling a little down
on his luck, so he's gone and gotten very drunk and is lolling around in the
middle of the street. Goli shows up to try and get him out of the road, but Tony
is proving to be hard to move.
Tony staggers to his feet and shouts at all the drivers that he is going to be married soon, and shows them the locket. Goli barely manages to get him out of the road by agreeing to ... ahem, sing and dance with him. As the flow of traffic resumes, we follow the two around some impressive buildings while they perform "Hum Hai Mast Maulla." This is mostly a drunken revelry song, but a hallucinatory Sapna shows up periodically to take a line or two before disappearing in an awkward fashion.

We also see Goli coming up with some humorous couplets in between some of the verses. After they are done prancing around town, Tony gets down to explaining how he thinks Sapna doesn't really love the doctor. He thinks she's been arranged by her parents, and he will be able to sweep her off her feet. Goli tries to play the counter to these claims, but Tony won't hear of it. As they are standing outside talking, we see a parked car with its lights off nearby. Inside, we see Patil talking about Tony, and how he's a man who can get "things" done. He leans back and reveals Mallya in the car with him looking thoughtful.
The
next day, we see a stern looking man getting out of a car in front of a small
drug stand. Those of you with sharp eyes and good memories will recognize this
as the man who was watching Tony stab the man in the middle of the street the
other day. We overhear the shopkeepers lamenting his arrival, since he's a drug
inspector who is very strict and is quick to close shops down for any minor
reasons.
The inspector asks the proprietor if they stock a certain drug. The owner says he does, and they just got a new shipment the day before. The inspector takes a look at one of the boxes, and orders his posse to confiscate all of them.
We cut to a storeroom where a pretty large supply of the drug is being kept. The inspector marches in and speaks with the manager there. We learn that the two of them know each other, and that our inspector's name is Dr. Gosai.
