Gosai begins to open some of the boxes while asking Sinha, the manager of the warehouse, what the contents were. Sinha explains that they are vaccines for children that prevent hepatitis. Gosai asks which company imported them, and Sinha tells him it was their company. Gosai asks if he knows the expiration date on them, and Sinha tells him August of 2004. Gosai rubs the label and notices it begins to peel off. He removes the sticker, and reveals that the original expiration date was August of 2003! He tells Sinha that the drugs are already out of date, and Sinha looks a little disturbed.
We
cut from the warehouse to the backyard of a swanky looking estate. Upon closer
inspection, we see this is Mallya's house. He is out back having a meal with his
sons when he receives a phone call from Sinha. Sinha reports about the vaccines,
and hands the phone to Gosai. Gosai tells him that all the vaccines will have to
go. Mallya tells him that he can't afford to destroy the whole stock, as he will
lose millions. Gosai is angered that Mallya seems to be more concerned about the
money he'd lose instead of the children's health he would be jeopardizing if he
continues to sell the bad drug. Mallya tells him that he knows the vaccine can
be used for up to two years after its expiration date with no ill effects. Gosai
won't hear of it, and insists that the drugs be destroyed. He hangs up
triumphantly while Mallya and his sons look evil and determined.
We cut to Mallya's office where the man responsible for labeling the bottles is brought before Mallya. He apologizes for not removing the old labels before applying the new ones, but they were behind schedule on the shipment. Mallya smacks him and tells him they'll fix him later. For now, they've got to address the Dr. Gosai situation. We see Mallya place a call to Patil, then the scene cuts away.
Over
at the Indian equivalent of the FDA headquarters, we see Gosai get out of his car and
head up to his office. After he takes a seat behind his desk, he suddenly
notices there are five rough looking men sitting at the table across from him.
They're smoking, so I'm not sure why it took so long for him to pick up on their
presence, but oh well. Gosai recognizes Tony as the man he saw stabbing someone
in the middle of the road the other day, so he knows he is in trouble. There is
no dialog here - just lots of menacing stares. One of the guys blocks the
doorway, and Tony approaches Gosai's desk with a file. We get a few moments of
really annoying snap cuts between the men with bright white flashes between each
shot as the cuts get faster and faster. Finally we are done, and join Patil and
Tony in Patil's office.
Patil congratulates Tony on another fine job, and asks why he's taking a trip to Delhi. Tony tells him he asks too many questions. We get a jump cut to the reason Tony's there - Sapna's got a show that night. We get to watch as well, and enjoy our next musical number, "Mahi Mahi." This is my personal favorite song for this film, and it's pretty catchy. Not to mention, Sapna looks good in purple.

For those of you paying close attention, this is the song she was recording in the studio a few scenes back. Things are going fine for a few minutes, then suddenly Pankaj and a few stagehands come running out and interrupt the song. He tells Sapna that there is a huge problem back in Mumbai, and they must leave immediately. The crowd is hacked off at the interruption, but we are spared the riot to go to the airport.
Sapna
is having problems getting a ticket home. Tony and Goli show up with a confirmed
ticket, which Tony gives to Sapna. She casts an "Oh my gosh this is sooooo
sweet" smile at him, then she runs off to the gate. Goli asks Tony why he gave
up his ticket. Tony explains that he in fact gave her Goli's ticket, and he must
wait for the next flight. Goli's rather miffed at this, but Tony's not
listening. Pankaj tells Goli he'll buy him a ticket on the next flight, and they
go off to have some snacks.
As Tony is walking towards the gate, he passes a TV showing the news. We hear a report that Dr. Gosai has been arrested for approving a faulty vaccine. This vaccine has now been proven to have caused the deaths of three infants so far, and no telling how many more have had it administered to them. Tony takes his seat on the plane, and looks over at Sapna who appears to be napping. We have several scenes cut back and forth between the happy peaceful flight and scenes of hundreds of panic-stricken parents rushing to the hospital to see if their kids had been given the shot.
