In
the vision, Manav can see the college, and a sign reading "Annual Day 1980."
Several couples are dancing in a gymnasium, including someone that looks a lot
like Manav, and his partner resembles Disha. The shot changes to color and we
can now hear what's going on. As the dances do their thing to the tune "Love Me
Do" by the Beatles, they are observed from some chairs nearby by a group of
surly looking young men. They make a few off-color remarks about Disha being
quite the looker, and a nice dancer to boot. Manav, make that Amar, stops
dancing and goes over to teach them a lesson, but Disha stops him and tries to
get him boogying again. They resume, but they both look nervous as they hear a
familiar creaking sound. Their eyes shift about, looking for the source of the
sound, but they can't locate it. Suddenly a light from the stage rigging comes
tumbling down upon them! Amar is able to grab Disha and leap out of harm's way.
Just in case we all missed the similarity of this event, the movie helpfully plays the same scene from the engagement party where Manav saved Disha from the chandelier. Twice, actually. Once in reverse while the sound of hooting apes plays on the soundtrack (seriously) and then forward, without the apes. We then go back to the past where the three hecklers make another comment about how lucky Amar seems to be. This leads to a rather awkwardly staged fistfight in the seats, with Amar easily kicking everyone's butt until Disha steps in to stop him.
The flashbacks don't stop here. After another look at some of the book
visions, we rejoin Amar and Disha in the halls of the college. Disha wants to
talk to Amar about "something important," but he has to get a book back to the
library before it closes. He runs off while she grouses about how she's
constantly waiting for him to do something or other. She is interrupted by a
young and close-cropped Siddarth Das, who asks Disha to be his Rose Day partner.
She tells him that they are only friends, and that she's already got a partner.
We later find Amar in the Art room (before it became the storeroom and started killing people). There are several paintings on easels and a lot of lit candles festooning the place. He holds a sheet of paper and looks confused (I later assumed this was a note or something to "meet me in the art room") until he hears Disha come into the room. She's got a little cake with a candle in it, and she has him blow it out. This kicks off our next musical number, "Suna Suna."

The song is your standard issue love ballad, but there are a few plot points that come up. Well to be specific, we see a few more images from some of the visions. The rock that Talli found in the cottage actually used to serve as a holder for a photo of Disha and Amar, and we also see the full color version of the snowball fight atop the mountain.
At the end of the song, the couple are in the cottage. Disha comes to Amar with a necklace (the same one she choked on when the group was there). She says it is to celebrate the love they have for each other. Amar refuses the gift, and says that while they are indeed closer than friends, he is not in love with her. Disha doesn't understand and is quite upset, but Amar tells her he's sorry. No can do. He walks off and leaves her there to weep.
Later
that evening, Amar is awakened by a pounding at the door. He groggily stumbles
over and lets Disha into the room. She breathlessly takes him to the window and
shows him the police are outside, with three body bags. Disha says they are all
people that used to stay in the cottage with them, and coincidentally were the
hecklers at the dance the other night. She tells Amar that the police suspect
him for the killings, and they need to get away. Amar doesn't understand any of
this. He didn't have anything to do with these killings, so why should the cops
think he did it? Disha says that everyone heard him threatening them at the
dance, so they'll naturally come looking for him.
Amar says that he made those threats while in a "fit of rage," so of course he didn't mean it. Disha says that won't fly with the cops, and she needs to get him out of there, post-haste.
