Manav gives the chain back to Disha, and does so in a way that makes them both look at each other with an expression of "There's something oddly familiar about all this." Disha turns back to the window and looks outside. She sees a large letter "A" appear on the shed outdoors, and she tells the others that her love, Amar, has come to them. The others ask her if Amar is her boyfriend, but she tells them it's not like that. Amar is dead, and has been haunting her for a long time. As this is said, a large picture falls from the wall to reveal a nasty crack in the plaster. Akshay makes a sarcastic comment that Amar must be with them and is doing all of this. He says they should watch, since he's guessing Amar is going to make blood pour out of the crack in the wall.
The
others turn to stare at the crack in a moment I thought to be oddly funny. Here
they are, scared to death, and they've been told there's a ghost there causing
all of this, yet they all want to see what happens next. Much to everyone's
disappointment, all that leaks out of the crack is water. Akshay makes another
joke about how Amar must not be that strong if he can't manage to conjure up
some blood and has to use water instead.
Disha is not amused by any of this. She tells them to shut up, and to stop badmouthing her dead boyfriend. She says that even to this day, she feels his spirit hovering close to her, everywhere she goes. As if to emphasize this revelation, we cut out to the car where the other tires begin to burst. Tillu is understandably startled by this, and runs into the house.
When
he reaches the house, Talli shouts that all of the tires have been "blasted."
Akshay doesn't buy his story, so he sends Kabir out to verify the claim. Sure
enough, Kabir backs up his story and says that they're all flat. Disha whispers
the name "Amar" to herself as she hears this news, and everyone looks around at
each other. There's a short montage of the people all staring around the house
as they wait out the night. More than one Significant Glance is shared between
Manav and Disha, but we'll get to that later.
The next morning we see Disha outside on a bench, playing with the necklace that had choked her the night before. Manav comes outside and notices that it's pretty chilly, and drapes his jacket over Disha's shoulders. She looks up to see who it is, and he sits down next to her on the bench. As he does so, Shanti comes out from behind some shrubs, and gives the back of Manav's head a very dirty look while ominous music rolls in from the string section. Over at the car, we see Akshay and Talli talking with a mechanic. They are astounded that he was able to replace so many tires so quickly, but the man tells them that only one tire had a problem. Akshay asks Talli again if all four had been ruptured the night before, and he swears they were. They joke that Amar must have done this, and they are overheard by an older woman passing by. She looks up at the name of Amar, and wonders how they could know him. This seems like it's out of nowhere, so hopefully we get back to it soon.
Over
at Manav's house, we see him heading towards his car and talking on a cell
phone. He seems to be a bit late, and is telling whomever he is talking to that
he's leaving now. He finally hangs up as he gets into the car, and talks to
himself. He says she blabbers so much (must have been Shanti), but he does love
- then he stops mid-sentence. As he was closing the door, he caught a glimpse of
someone in the mirror. He sees Disha settling in on a bench, wearing Manav's
coat from the night before. She gives the car a sly look as she tries to be
discreet.
Manav walks over to her and asks her why she's at his house. She explains that she stopped by to return his coat, but he tells her to keep wearing it since it looks good on her. He asks her where she's headed next, and she replies that she was going to school. He says that's where he's going, and offers her a lift.
Over
at the campus, the rest of the gang has already assembled. Shanti is very
annoyed at Manav's tardiness. It seems he's running forty minutes late today,
and she's fit to be tied. We get a look at why Manav is so late. He's driving
about fifteen miles per hour and staring at Disha with googly eyes while she
blushes and sneaks peeks at him. Back at campus, Nupur is teasing Shanti, saying
that now she's engaged, Manav will take her for granted. Shanti counters with
the fact that Nupur can't even get Kabir to be her boyfriend, and is at this
very moment flirting with a girl nearby. Nupur looks frustrated, makes a few
comments on how fast girls were moving these days (despite herself being guilty
of all the things she's talking about), then marches over to give Kabir whack on
the head with her textbooks.
At this point Manav finally arrives on campus. He and Disha get out of the car, while Akshay makes a few comments about what a cute couple they would make. Neither Shanti nor Talli think that is all that funny, and they both shout at Akshay to shut up.
