Talli is busy sucking on an empty drink through a straw, annoying everyone else in the row. Shanti laments that they've forgotten to buy popcorn, but Manav volunteers to get it. He leaves the seats, and Shanti comments to Akshay about how sweet Manav is to go and get their refreshments. Akshay is a little more cynical, and says that it's more likely Manav is going out to the lobby to meet Disha. Shanti gets a frumpy look on her face and goes out to see if that's the case.

Sure enough, as Manav is walking back to the theater through the lobby, Disha calls out to him and apologizes for being late. He tells her that is no problem, and the movie hasn't started yet. They go to the doors to enter the theater, but Shanti opens them from the inside first. She gives them both an "Ah-HA!" look, and Manav asks what she's doing. He said he'd get the popcorn, so why is she out here? Disha playfully teases her, and asks her if she got scared in there. Shanti gets rather haughty and asks why she should be afraid? Only people who have done something wrong get scared. (I'm not so sure about that one, but she seems insistent on it.)

Disha doesn't know what to say. Shanti presses the advantage, and reads her the riot act. She says that she's been watching Disha closely ever since the engagement party. Since Manav saved her from the accident, Shanti claims that Disha's been after Manav ever since. She talks about how Disha was so into her love Amar, but now she seems to have her sights set on Manav. She calls Disha shameless, which causes Disha to turn and walk away. Manav tries to calm Shanti down, but she's far too hostile at the moment. Shanti storms off into the theater, leaving Manav there holding the popcorn. That's not a metaphor, he really is.

We cut from that wonderfully tense moment to Disha's palatial house (yes, I know, but they really are all palatial houses). Manav has come over to apologize on behalf of Shanti for what was said earlier. Disha says that it is okay, and that she understands. Had the roles been reversed, she would have done something similar. Disha knows that everyone wants their love, and that hers was once like that.

Manav asks her what happened between her and Amar. Disha tells him a sorrowful tale of one person dying too soon, and the other left to go it alone. She says she's angry at Amar for causing these problems, God for taking Amar away, and angry at fate for giving her this life. Manav tells her that if she is alive, then she must see it through to the end, and wipes her tears. Disha seems touched by this, and embraces Manav tenderly. Well this can't be good! The movie decides to leave a tender moment alone, so we cut over to an outdoor cafe where Akshay, Kabir, and Talli are waiting for Shanti.

Shanti marches over to the table where the guys are sitting, and they begin to graciously welcome her and go out of their way to make sure she's got everything she needs to be comfortable. Akshay begins to talk in somewhat exaggerated tones, as if to suggest, "Guys - I'm doing something here, so play along."

Akshay looks at Talli, and asks if he should tell Shanti what Talli was saying about her earlier. They all feign ignorance as Shanti gets all wound up that they were talking about her behind her back. They go back and forth for a bit arguing, then Akshay finally says that they were all saying she was a coward, and that Disha was very brave.

Shanti is offended that they would even compare her to that evil woman. They also go on to say how smart and adventurous Disha is. They even have a bet that Disha would go into the jungle in the middle of the night, and that Shanti can't even go to the library by herself in the dark. If she were to brave such a trip, then they'd all have to admit that Shanti was indeed just as brave and adventurous as Disha is.

Taking up the challenge, Shanti decides she'll show all of them how much tougher than Disha she is, and heads off straightaway to the library.
