A long shot of an abandoned hallway shows us that the trip to the library might be a little scary after all. We can hear Shanti babbling to herself about the time she screamed at a scary movie, and the guys haven't let her forget it. As she continues her rambling monologue, she notices a dark humanoid shape lurking in one of the doorways. She calls out to it, and says that she's not afraid of them. The figure jumps out of the shadows to reveal a tall person, cloaked in a black robe, wearing a skull mask. They make a few threatening gestures while Shanti screams! She then notices that there's a small green lizard on the person's cloak, and points it out. This causes the mask guy to panic and yell for Shanti to get it off of him. They manage to brush it off and it runs away. Shanti then pulls the mask off of the person's face and we see it's actually Talli trying to scare her.

Shanti moves on towards her final goal. She climbs some steps and sees a dim light shining out from the storeroom. Thinking that there is another ambush waiting for her, she tiptoes over to the door and shoves them open with a loud "Boo!" Instead of sending someone tumbling, she finds herself alone in the darkened room filled with junk.

We cut over to Talli who is still wandering the halls. He hears some voices coming from an office, and he sneaks over to listen in. We see that Siddarth Das, the author of "A Few Untold Things," is speaking to the principal of the college. They sound as if they are arguing about something. When we listen in, the principal can be heard to say that he remembers the book, and that he locked it away in the storeroom personally. Das asks him if that's the case, then how did it end up on the shelves in the library? The principal can't explain it either, and says he is shocked. He offers up the idea that one of the students or other staff members had gone in there and retrieved it. Das says that he had a definite reason that the book should remain out of the hands of anybody, and that's why he wanted it securely locked away. Das says that the book "spells DOOM! DEATH! DESTRUCTION!" (He really does shout that, and in English.)

Das goes on to tell the story of the book's legacy. 50,000 copies of the book were printed and sent to five different cities. Not a single copy reached their destinations. Some of the trucks fell into pits, boats with loads of the book sank, and other such tragedies befell anything associated with it. The copy that he had locked away is the very last copy of the book, and the last four pages are such that... then he trails off. He then demands to have the book returned to him for safe keeping.

Outside, Talli has heard this whole exchange. He realizes that Nupur might be in trouble. Speaking of people in trouble, let's see what Shanti's up to. It looks like she's still in the storeroom, and is rather boldly looking around. She sees a flashlight that is rolling back and forth on a low shelf, so she spits out her gum with a smirk and heads over to see what it's doing. The movie decides to remind her that she's all alone in a dark room, and does so with a bat flapping right past her face while screeching loudly.

Shanti's resolve is broken, and she leaps back a few paces in fright. The flashlight stops moving, making her even more nervous. She calls out the names of her friends, in the hopes that they are still trying to scare her. As Shanti moves past a pile of broken chairs, she reaches down and takes a piece of wood, wielding it like a club. She says she knows that they're trying to scare her, to which a reply comes in the form of a loud gasping sound and a rapid zoom on the back of her head. Shanti freezes in her tracks, and drops the piece of wood. She slowly turns around, only to see nothing there. She does notice that the wood she was carrying is also where her gum happened to land, so she spends a moment making a gross face while trying to pull the sticky mess from her hands.

Distracted by the gum, Shanti fails to notice the human figure that is standing behind her. It looks to be a woman, with long black hair hanging down over her face. This form begins to walk slowly and unsteadily towards Shanti. Sensing something is amiss, Shanti quickly turns around only to find there is no one there. A few loose pieces of cloth flapping in the night breeze are the only things moving. Shanti is now good and scared, and she decides that she's ready to go. She heads for the door, but trips over one of the many odds and ends poking out of the piles of junk, and falls to the floor.

As Shanti rises to her feet, we see the female figure in the fetal position under a desk near her. As Shanti brushes the dust from her clothes, she feels a hand grasp her left arm. She looks down to see what is going on, and meets with the gaze from the dull, glassy eyes of Nupur. Shanti is so startled by all that is going on, she begins to scream at the top of her lungs. She cries for help as loud as she can while frantically tugging her arm away from Nupur. Shanti manages to break free and runs out of the room to the hallway as fast as she can, where she meets with Akshay and Kabir.

Incidentally, the woman with the dark hair over her face is also another nod to Ringu/The Ring. Look familiar?
