There's
a big teary "Oh how wonderful!" moment with Kittu and Mallika staring at each
other. The camera spins around them as they embrace and everyone applauds.
Again, I'm sorry. I know this is the big scene where Kittu's impossible dream finally comes true, but it seems like a Pyrrhic victory to me. It seems like we're saying that selfish, impulsive behavior ultimately gets rewarded with what we want most. Poor Nisha is totally cast aside and scorned for falling in love with her friend that she's known basically all her life. That seems to me to be the real lesson here, to look for love where we least expect it. Perhaps I'm analyzing this a little too much. This is after all basically a fairy tale.
Where were we... oh yes. Spinning madly in circles, we hear a voice-over reading a news headline. The wedding of the movie star to a college student has taken the entertainment world by surprise. We see that what we're hearing is what Nisha and Niki are watching on TV back at the house. Nisha activates Rationalization Mode, and explains why she did what she did. She talks about how all of us have a goal in life, and that Mallika had always been Kittu's. She says that she'd have fought any other girl for him, but not this one. She didn't want to deprive him of what he always wanted. See? Nisha's got a heart of gold. Not that Mallika doesn't, but man. Nisha's made of some tough stuff.
We begin the credits by seeing Kittu's dad looking into the closet. He is pulled away by his wife and they walk off. The camera moves into the closet to show us what he was looking at. I can only assume this is a picture of Rekha who was mentioned earlier in the dinner scene. Ah, like son, like father? Does it work backwards? We then get to see all the friends Kittu made in Bombay dancing at his wedding. This is genuinely funny. These look like a very entertaining bunch of guys.

We close with a reprise of the theme song, male vocalist version. Kittu sings it while sitting with Mallika, and everyone's all smiles. The end!
