Mallika feels bad for causing so much strife in the household, and asks Kittu to take her back to her uncle. At this point, Mom decides that she'd rather take the risk of angering their father than to send her back to that. Kittu then reactivates the Creepy Machine, and asks his mom to bake a birthday cake for Mallika, so the can celebrate it like he always does. (shiver)

We see them blowing out the candles and having a grand time when Nisha walks in uninvited. Good job on keeping Mallika a secret, guys! Well anyway, they tell Nisha the whole story. They ask Kittu how long Mallika is going to stay. Kittu goes all misty eyed and says that he wishes she could stay forever since he loves her so much, but she's bound to go away like a dream. Someone, please bring this man back to Earth. We can still save him!

The kids get into a discussion about what love really is, and if Kittu really seriously thinks he's in love with Mallika. Of course she walks into the conversation, and listens in to the others talking. She realizes that she really has no idea what it's like to be in love, or how one can tell when it happens. There's a bit where all the dialog is muted and we listen to some strings play on the soundtrack while Mallika has her revelations. Oh, and we also take this opportunity to have a song!

Nisha takes the lead on this one, but doesn't bother to include any subtitles. "Sunatha Dekha Tha" will therefore now go on the "to be determined list" for its content. I'm assuming it's an extension of the conversation they were just having, so we'll go with that for now.

During the song, we see Mallika flashing back to all the nice things that Kittu has done for her. She even starts giving little wistful looks while Kittu dances around with Nisha, and imagines herself giving Kittu a flower and saying she loves him. Whoa!

They dance into the house and get Mom involved, then completely lose track of themselves and run into Dad. Oh yes, the one they've been hiding Mallika from for a while now. Whoops. They cover for her by saying that she's a friend of Nisha's. To cover for her appearance, Mallika spins around and greets him while crossing her eyes and making an odd face. Anyway, this works well enough to get her out of the house. The family all breathes a sigh of relief, and end the scene.

Nisha takes Mallika over to her house to lay low. She shows Mallika around a bit, and they go to Nisha's room. There we see that Kittu doesn't have exclusive membership to the Obsessive Picture Club. Nisha's got a snapshot of Kittu putting an earring on Nisha that's been blown up to poster size.

Nisha tells her that the earring was a gift form Kittu that he saved for over a month to buy her. As she tells her this, she lets it slip that she loves Kittu a lot. Mallika takes this news pretty hard. Kittu bursts in at that moment and celebrates their quick thinking with Nisha. Lots of squealing, hand slapping and hugging ensues while Mallika looks on. This is artfully shot while Mallika is sitting on Nisha's bed, with the giant picture looming over her.

The phone rings, and the call is for Kittu. He gets the news that his dad has been arrested for kidnapping! Kittu runs out of the house to see what's up.

We jump cut over to the police station. It seems they're pretty sure they've got their man, and only need to beat a confession out of him. That's good police work, guys!
