We
cut to Sanjana careening down the highway. The road looks to be wet, and there
is a lot of traffic that she's lazily swerving around. Inside the car, we see
that she's sobbing nearly uncontrollably while she drives. A well done effects
shot shows Sanjana from the side, and the shot pushes in towards her ear. Once
it is filling the screen, we hear a sinister female voice call out Sanjana's
name. This startles her, and she crashes into a parked car and rolls her own.
The car comes to a rest on its roof, rocking slightly back and forth.
A jump cut to a hospital waiting area tells us that Aditya has learned of the accident. He sits on a chair and nervously clenches his hands together. Eventually a doctor comes out to give him the news. Despite rolling the car, Sanjana is unharmed! The doctor declares it a miracle, and adds that she might want to stop driving after taking sleeping pills. It tends to dull one's senses. The doc gets personal, and says that Aditya really needs to look after her closely. She was saved in a miracle, and he needs to take care of his wife.
The
next morning, we see Aditya looking out of the window in Sanjana's hospital
room. He glances over and notices that she has woken up. He smiles at her, then
asks her why she must punish him like this. She doesn't play along with his
joking, and asks why they must deny what they both know. She says that she is
tired of fighting all the time. She then says they should get a divorce.
This hits Aditya hard. He says that she should not say thing like that. He apologizes for how he has been behaving, but she says that it won't make any difference. He is not the same person that she married. In the single year they've been married, he has completely changed, and she wonders what's gotten into him.
She says there is a chasm between them, but Aditya says he can solve this. He begs her for one more chance to show her that he can still be the man she loves. He suggests them going on a trip, just the two of them, so they can sort all of this out and be together. He even says the Hong Kong delegation can wait. He says that he'll take her anywhere in the world that she wants to go. He rattles off a list of some big cities in other countries, but she looks at a painting of trees, and says that she wants to go to Ooty. He looks confused as to why she's pick there instead of London or Chicago. She explains that she wants the fresh start to be where they first met.
We
have a nice transition into the painting of the trees to an actual shot of them,
and the couple's car pulls into view. Sanjana looks around at the familiar
sights and seems to be cautiously optimistic about this. She lets herself into a
cottage that looks quite familiar - it's the same one that Nisha and Rohit were
running around outside of.
She takes a tour of the rooms, and sees visions of the last time she was there. Such as the time when she and Aditya were chasing each other with colors for Holi, or when he made her a big dinner and teased her for kisses before serving it. All of these lead up to the biggest flashback of her reverie - their wedding! Coincidentally, this is also our next musical number, "Mein Agar Samne."
