While Aditya is out recruiting backup, Sanjana is working on her flowers at the cottage. She is crouched down and concentrating on her work when a sudden gust of wind musses her hair. She turns to look in annoyance, but sees nothing. Mildly disturbed, she goes back to work. As we watch, a shovel that is leaning against the wall behind her begins to move. It leans up and then clatters loudly to the ground, making Sanjana jump at the sound.

She gets up and replaces the shovel back against the wall. she squats down to continue her work when the shovel repeats the previous action. Sanjana is startled again, and once more replaces the shovel. She gives it a good long stare before backing off, just to make sure it's going to stay put. Convinced that it is firmly stationed, she turns her back on it once again. To no one surprise, the shovel falls over a third time. Sanjana whirls around to look at it, but is also startled by the phone ringing. She sits still for a moment while she tries to catch the breath that was scared out of her, then she goes to answer the phone. As she passes the shovel, we can see there is a suspicious looking reddish stain on the handle, as if something had splattered there and then dripped a little bit.

Inside, Sanjana picks up the phone. However, all that is on the line is silence. She says "hello" a few times before pounding on the phone to try and get a dial tone. Nothing works. As she's messing with the phone (and getting agitated from the looks of things) she notices that the lighting fixtures on the ceiling have begun to tremble and clatter.

To make things worse, the photo of herself and Aditya on the table is also shaking and dancing around, eventually falling to the floor. The glass in the frame shatters on the hard wood floor, adding to the cacophony that is building around her. As the glass breaks, she hears a woman's voice calling out to her. She whips around to see ... an actual person! All of the activity immediately comes to a halt as the woman comes into view.

Our newcomer explains that she had been told of their arrival, and was asked to be their maid while they were staying there. Sanjana says that they were expecting their usual cleaner, Robert. He hasn't show up, so she asks the maid if she knows what the deal is. The maid says that no one knows where he's run off to. Even his wife hasn't seen or heard from him in over eight months. Sanjana is stunned at this news, and asks to be taken to Robert's house so she can speak with his wife.

Sanjana takes a walk with Mrs. Robert, and learns a few things about what happened not long before he vanished. According to his wife, Robert used to enjoy working there. All of a sudden he couldn't bear the thought of going there, and dreaded every second of it. He would even make up excuses to get her to go instead.

Sanjana asks her why she didn't call Aditya when Robert took off. She says she did. She called him on his cell from the post office the day it happened. She says that she also told Aditya that Robert had been complaining about hearing strange voices in the house. In order to counter them, he would cover his ears and "rant like a madman" to drown them out. He even told his wife that if she didn't go outside and stop the voices that he would walk out on her. She says that she would have loved to do that, except she wasn't hearing anything, and couldn't stop them. Sanjana is riveted to the story. She asks her what kinds of voices Robert had heard. Mrs. Robert (name please!) says that he described a voice crying out as if in intense pain. Sanjana loses her breath here and looks very panicked.

We'll have to deal with that later though, as it's time for couple's therapy. We find ourselves at the cottage, watching a slideshow with Priya and Ajay. They are showing scenes from what I'm assuming is the honeymoon of Sanjana and Aditya. They're all pictures of the two of them having lots of fun together, enjoying the country, and each other's company. Ajay and Priya make up little stories and couplets for some of the shots, until Sanjana becomes sappy and wistful. Once she's sufficiently sentimental (and getting a bit weepy), Aditya comes in with his guitar and serenades her with our next musical number, "Kya Tumhe Yaad."
