The opening credits very closely mimic the ones to the film we're watching, and they both named "Rangeela." We don't spent much time with it though. Instead we go to Munna's room where he is packing a duffel bag. He removes a picture of Mili from his cabinet and heads out the door. He casts a wistful look back at the house where he has spent most of his life, and issues a small sigh. Then he's off down the driveway.

The screen fades out and we get a red herring ending as the titles "THE END" come flying up on the screen. The joke's on us though - it's only the ending to the movie our stars are watching in the theater. The house lights come up and the crowd applauds madly. Kamal asks Mili if she is happy, and she says very much so. He says he has something important to tell her after they leave.

TP and TD set up a podium in front of the screen to talk to the audience. As they're getting ready, Mili remembers she's holding the letter from Munna. She begins reading, and her face takes on a serious expression. We hear the message as she reads it. Munna tells her that he is leaving, but that he loves her very much. He knows however that they wouldn't work out. He says that she is destined for the world of the rich and famous, and he can't be a part of that. He tells her that she should marry someone like Kamal who can give her what she deserves. He says he can't stand to see her with someone else, and that's why he's leaving town for good.

She's very distracted by this, and doesn't notice when a spotlight is turned on her. She gets up from her seat and runs out of the theater as her new fans applaud her passing. She looks around outside the theater as Kamal comes out to ask her what is wrong. She tells him that she needs the car right away.

As they are driving off, he asks her what is going on. She explains that Munna is leaving and she has to find him. He can't remember who Munna is so she goes over it again for him. He slams on the brakes and asks why she's making such a big deal out of this. She tells him that Munna thinks she and Kamal are in love and are going to get married. She says Munna is foolish for thinking this. She says that she loves him too and has to find him.

During all this, poor Kamal's face just falls lower and lower. With a resigned look on his face, they drive over to find Pakiya. Mili jumps out of the car and demands to know where Munna went. Pakiya snaps at her and asks if she realizes all the things Munna did for her. He talks about Munna scrimping to save the money to get her the little ring he was going to propose with. He brings up the time he and Munna went to see the screening of her movie and were asked to leave, and she insulted him in front of everyone because "she wanted to become a big star!" Munna kept him up night after night talking about Mili and how great she was. Before he left, he gave all the money he had been saving for his wedding to Pakiya since he wasn't going to need it anymore.

While this tirade is being levied at Mili, she looks more and more shocked. Pakiya delivers the final blow when he says that he's begun to hate the ideas of love and marriage after seeing what happened between Munna and Mili. He tells her to go away. Kamal steps in and says they can discuss those matters another time, and he wants to know where Munna is right now.

Munna is currently relaxing on top of some barrels that are strapped to the back of a truck as it rolls along the roads. Somehow Kamal knows what road they're on, and manages to force the truck to stop. Mili calls him down off the truck. Munna sees that she's with Kamal and suddenly isn't so sure he wants to be talking to them. Mili presses the issue, and Munna says that he has already told her everything he had to say in the letter. He doesn't want to be an obstacle to her or to create a scene.

Now, the next part really impressed me. Kamal comes forward and asks where Munna got the crazy idea that he and Mili were in love. He explains that they are simply actors, and they spent a lot of time working together on the movie. That doesn't mean they want to spend their lives together. He tells Munna how Mili left the premier of her first movie to spend all night looking for him because she loves him very much.

Munna isn't sure what to make of all this. Mili gets a pouty look on her face and takes a few steps away from them. Now that the initial shock and joy has passed, she is a little miffed about how he just took off. They begin squabbling the way they have been the whole movie while Kamal stands over by the car and chuckles at them. After a few rounds of verbal boxing, Mili finally grabs him in a hug and they hold onto each other for a while.

The camera lingers on this image for a moment, then we fade to the credits.
