Over at Kamal's house, he is relaxing in his backyard when TP comes running in with a box of candy to tell them the first print has been made of the movie. He's seen it and is very happy with the way it came out. Kamal asks when he can see it, and they tell him they're having a screening of it that night.
Mili has gotten word of this too, and finds Munna to tell him about it. She tells him to bring Pakiya along too.
Cut
back to Kamal. He's staring at a giant diamond ring that he wants to present to
Mili. He's nervous about giving it to her, since the last time he was engaged
his beloved died. His dad tells him to get over it and pop the question. I'm
paraphrasing, it was much more sensitive than that.
Not much of a transition here - we go right into a song. "Hai Rama" begins with no setup or introduction! This is a strange song, mostly about how relentless he is in his pursuit of her and how she's sort of playing hard-to-get. The visuals here are also a little uncharacteristic of the rest of the songs. There's a lot of parts where it looks like they're playing pretty rough with each other and he's manhandling her quite a bit.

Mili is standing next to Kamal and finally breaks his reverie. She asks him if he is ready to go inside and see the movie, but he hesitates. He spouts some vague talk about being nervous for the first time in a long time, but dismisses it and they head inside.
There's a problem in the screening room. It seems they've overbooked the preview and some of the suits that backed the movie don't have seats since Munna and Pakiya are there. TP hustles them out of the room and the men sit down.
Outside, Munna and Pakiya are waiting on the steps. TP comes out and starts pushing them away. Munna flares up and starts shoving TP around. As this is happening, Kamal and Mili pull up and jump out of the car to see what's going on. TP offers up a slightly twisted version of the story that vilifies Munna. Mili chews Munna out for treating people badly, then goes inside. Pakiya and Munna go home with a somewhat disgusted look on their faces.
Back at the house, Munna is sitting on the steps outside as Kamal pulls into the drive to drop Mili off. She asks him what he thought of her performance in the movie. He says some very complimentary things to her, then takes his leave. She excitedly skips over to the house until she sees Munna on the steps. She takes on a more serious tone and approaches him.
She
takes a seat next to him and apologizes for what she said at the screening. He
tries to take the blame by saying that he really didn't belong there in the
first place, and she should forget about it. He changes the subject and asks how
the movie was. She brightens up and tells him about how well-received the film
was by the audience. She makes a special mention of the scene that he helped
coach her through for her screen test. The audience applauded her for that scene
and she wished he was there to see it.
She tells him the premier is in two days, and that she wants to see it with him. She starts waxing on about how her childhood dream is about to be fulfilled, and it's all thanks to Kamal. Munna makes a mildly hurt face, then nods quietly to himself.
At
the premier, there is a huge - and I do mean huge throng of people outside. After
a massive fireworks display, we go inside to see a full house with people waving
streamers and throwing confetti. TP and TD lead the cast through the crowd to
their seats to watch the show. Mili meets up with her family, and asks where
Munna is. Motilal says that Munna isn't coming, and has sent a letter to Mili.
Her family says that Munna was acting very strangely before they left. She takes
the note and heads off to her seat. Kamal asks her what was going on, but Mili
tells him it's nothing. She opens up the letter, but before she can read it the
house lights go down and the movie begins.
