Girdy is all smiles and condescension as he politely asks the two escapees to dismount their vehicle and approach him. He chides Romeo for "forgetting" his old partner, and orders him to hand over the diamonds. Romeo tells him, basically, "over my dead body." Girdy tells him that's fine, they can do it that way too. Girdy orders his men to shoot Seema and Romeo, but before they can do so the chopper that was chasing Romeo finally figures out where they went. It swoops in low over the treeline and starts blasting away at everyone present. Miraculously, Girdy and all of his henchmen go down in a surprisingly bloody hail of bullets. To make sure they got them, the helicopter also drops a grenade onto Girdy's car, blowing it to smithereens.

Romeo and Seema managed to get to cover before taking any fire, and they now survey the scene before them. In dramatic slow motion, Romeo hauls tail over to the discarded weapons that the dead henchmen dropped, and grabs a hunting rifle. He takes aim at the helicopter that has now circled around and is making another strafing run. As Seema looks on with anticipation (and lots of blinking) Romeo lines up his shot, and puts a bullet into the helicopter. This was apparently a depleted uranium anti-armor bullet in this hunting rifle, since the chopper is completely blown up in a huge fireball! Wooo!

This explosion is noticed by Ravi, who is still randomly cruising around the countryside under the guise of "police work." He turns in the direction of the commotion, and we cut away. Don't want to overdo it with all the Ravi, you see.

Back at the massacre, Romeo is feeling like his old glib self again. He apologizes to his deceased former employer, and says that he's sorry. The bullets that were meant for him were delivered to Girdy's address instead. Ah Romeo, you card! He and Seema head off, and discuss their next step. Romeo says that they will now call Jugran and set a meeting place, but they'll only hand over the goods if he tells them the identity of Seema's father's murderer first. Ravi shows up at an intersection that our heroes just passed, but goes the wrong way to follow them. So close!

In case you can't see it, there is some amusing graffiti on the wall in this alleyway. The one on the left reads, "I'm a Speedy The Spider, Come & Get Caught In My Web." The other says, "Peace for all make love not war!" I don't know why the "& Get" is in a different color, but I think the "Peace for all" artist wanted to correct the spider guy's grammar.

Cut to a dead-end alley. Jugran's entourage shows up and our villain gets out of his car looking very dapper. Romeo calls out from a window high up on the building facing them, and tells Jugran that he's got a gun pointed at him, and he won't miss like Jugran's henchmen did! Jugran tells Romeo that his men were not acting on his orders, and had evil intentions of their own. He swears by the devil that he will uphold the bargain.

Romeo tells him that the deal will be settled here and now. Jugran's not getting the diamonds until he gives up the information he promised. Jugran is remarkably calm about all of this, and says that's fine. He says that Romeo and Seema might not have faith in him, but he trusts they'll do what they say if he holds up his end of the deal. He calmly announces that he, Jugran, was the man who killed Seema's dad. This is followed by many repetitions of people looking around shocked and/or confident, depending on who we're looking at.

Seema is stunned for a moment, but then in a fit of rage grabs the rifle from Romeo's hands. She takes aim with it to kill Jugran, but before she can draw a bead on him, several of Jugran's bodyguards sneak up behind them and take them into custody. Jugran tells them that this factory they've chosen as a meeting place was once a large chemical production plant. Even today, there are still a few tanks that contain deadly acids. He decides in true Evil Villain Tradition to hang Seema over one of these tanks. Jugran stands near the rope that is holding Seema aloft, and threatens to cut it with a hatchet if Romeo doesn't tell him where the diamonds are.

The tension!
