He gives her a confident smile and explains that he wanted to give her more time, but he just had to ask her now. Antara is wearing an expression of horror at his timing. She begins to answer, but he stops her. He tells her to either say "yes" or nothing at all, because if she were to say "no," it would kill him. Her eyes fill up with tears, and she tells him that there is something he needs to know. Yash seems happy at the news, and begins theorizing as to why she'd be crying. He thinks that all of her secrets are about to come out, and that she fears they will drive him away. He tells her that no matter what she has to reveal, he will still want her to marry him. He starts to ask her again to be his wife, but she silences him with her fingertips on his lips. She quietly tells Yash that she is married.

She goes on to explain that she lives with her husband, and his was the voice he heard on the phone the other day. She tells Yash that she knows she has not been fair with him, but also that he is a dear friend. Her time spent with him have taught her a lot. She tells him that he knows how to live, and that she has learned much from him. She wonders aloud why she did this, then thinks that it was her laughter and enjoyment that prevented her from telling him all this a long time ago. She says she knows she's being selfish, but she would like Yash to forgive her.

Yash has been fighting back tears this whole time, and finally gets a little of his old ego back and starts to smirk a little at her request for forgiveness. He asks her if she is happy with her husband, and smiles when she nods. He tells her to go ahead and be happy with him then. At this point, Yash takes a big step of kindness, and accepts the responsibility for their situation. He says that Antara extended a hand of friendship, and he misread it. He tells her that there is no one else like her, and then stands up to leave.

Antara grabs his hand as he starts past her, and stops him. She asks if this is the end of their friendship, and he tells her no. He adds that he's probably not as great as she thinks he is anyway, then walks off.

We then cut to a very upset Shaukat. He cannot accept that Yash would just walk away and not be devastated to the point of despair. He accuses Antara of either lying about this or lying about Yash ever loving her in the first place. If he ever really did love her, then he should be out killing himself right now. Antara defiantly tells him that this is all exactly as it happened. She then asks what's wrong with Shaukat. After all, Yash is now out of their lives and things can hopefully get back to normal.

Shaukat won't let it go. He needs to know exactly how Yash felt and looked when he heard the news. He asks if she saw the agony in his eyes, but Antara tells him that she couldn't meet his gaze as she told him. She says that she doesn't have the guts to look someone in the eye as she is hurting them. She wanted to tell him when they first met that she was married, but she didn't because Shaukat asked her not to. She trusted his judgment, and went along with it. She says it was a mistake to have ever played along with this if the first place.

Meanwhile Shaukat is barely listening to her anymore. He is trying to think what could have prevented Yash from offing himself after such a crippling blow. One of Antara's barbs finally gets through the noise in Shaukat's head. She says that she trusted Shaukat because she thought he knew more about life than she did, but unfortunately Shaukat's world is unreal. The word "unreal" jumps out of that sentence and gets Shaukat right between the eyes. She tells him that his is a world of fiction, where people only do what he wants them to do. However, people, feelings, and humanity are all hard to understand.

Shaukat bristles at this attack, and asks her if she really thinks he doesn't understand how the mind works. He asks if she thinks he doesn't know that Yash is hurt right now. He says that the pain is not important - it is the experience that matters. He points out that had she not met Yash, then she wouldn't be talking to him like this right now. He points out that she has become very disrespectful as of late.
