She
asks him if he wanted Yash to experience a heartbreak. He tells her that had not
been decided. He actually had something different in mind. With that, he kisses
her forehead. He thinks to himself that he knows Yash can't live without her. He
knows this because he has written it. He walks away, leaving Antara to stand
alone in the darkness.
This leads us to the final musical number for the show, and it's more of a montage than the big elaborate productions. "Mat Jaa" plays as we see Shaukat typing frantically, occasionally laughing manically and periodically wiping away streams of tears. Interwoven with these shots are scenes from earlier, when Antara and Shaukat were happy together.

This song is also rather different in style, and actually features an electric guitar!
Towards the end of the song, we see Antara waking up in bed alone. She
notices the lack of husband in her bed, and goes off to look for him. She
wanders into his office, and sees him passed out on the typewriter. She notices
that several of his pages are flying around loose in the breeze, and starts
trying to gather them all together.
As
she does so, she starts looking at what he's written. By the time she's got all
the papers together, she's in tears. She can't believe that he would turn her
life into one of his works of fiction. But what is even worse is that he thinks
he can decide someone's fate with what he has written. She reads the last few
pages of his book, and thinks to herself that she would like to put his beliefs
to the test.
Later in the day, Antara is weeping loudly. Shaukat comes in to ask her what happened. She starts carrying on about how well he knew Yash without even meeting him, and that of course he could know how Yash would react to her revelation. Shaukat seems strangely excited by this. She asks him how he knew Yash would want to die after this, and Shaukat says that he only guessed it. She tells him she can't bear to read Yash's suicide note, but Shaukat forces her to read it anyway. However, he doesn't realize that she's actually holding the pages of Shaukat's book instead of a real suicide note. He mouths parts of it along with her, and corrects her when she makes mistakes. When it is over, he excitedly points to this as proof that what he writes really happens. He accuses her of still not believing him, and goes off to get more of his writing to show her how all of those things really happened.
As
he walks out of the room, Antara bursts into real horrified tears as she
realizes that he really believes that he's got the power to control fate. He
comes back in with a stack of paper and begins sifting through the pages. He
tells her that he's got both of their destinies written out already, but he's
having trouble finding that page. He frantically starts tossing pages around
looking for it. He pulls her down onto the floor with him and tells her to help
him find it. All Antara can do is sob as she watches her husband ransack the
room searching for the missing page. This search lasts almost two minutes of
film time, and is pretty hard to watch. Finally Shaukat slows down, and goes
into the fetal position with his head in Antara's lap.
