A ringing school bell brings us out of that grisly scene. A montage of the school fades into a crowded hallway filled with students all trying to peek into the locker room where the murder took place. Inspector Kamat is inside the room with some of his associates, and we see they've got a clue. Just outside of the locker room is a pair of bloody footprints.

Kamat is more than a little critical of the College staff's attempts to keep things safe on campus. The principle acknowledges that there are some problems, but he glances into the crime scene again before completing that thought. He swoons at the bloodstained walls, and has to be led away by some of the students gathered nearby.

Once he is out of the way, Kamat starts theorizing with his partner. He says there are a lot of similarities to the incident with Malini.

Personally, I don't see it. Both victims were stabbed with a knife and there were no witnesses. That's all the cases have in common as far as our detectives know. I think it's a bit of a reach for them to immediately suspect they were both done by the same person.

Kamat is called away from his partner by Mahek. She explains the phone call that she received in the store the other day, and goes on to say what the caller said about her sister. The camera loses interest in this conversation and pans over to Rocky and Suraj. Rocky, being the positive thinker that he is, comments on how the bright side of this whole tragedy is that Mrs. Roy is the psychology teacher, and he had an exam in her class the next day. Nikhil overhears this poorly chosen bit of levity, and asks for a bit of respect for the dead.

Kamat notices that Rocky seems to be taking this all very well. He comes over and comments on how Rocky doesn't seem bothered at all by what's happened. Rocky says that if Kamat had ever taken a psych exam, then he'd understand why he feels so good. Kamat becomes more serious, and asks Rocky what size shoes he wears. Rocky continues the jokes, and asks him if he's inquiring so that he might give him a present of new shoes.

Some of the students smirk a little at these antics, but Kamat isn't laughing. He asks Rocky where he was an hour ago. Rocky's alibi isn't the most concrete - he says he was at home, and only just arrived on campus a little while ago. Kamat takes Rocky's arm to lead him away from the group, but Rocky resists and shrugs Kamat's hand from his arm. He then threatens Kamat and says he doesn't know who he's dealing with. Kamat smartly replies that this is just what he hopes to find out!

Once again he takes Rocky's arm, and successfully leads him over to the footprints on the floor. He tells him to put his foot next to the prints so that they might see if there's a match. Several tense moments pass as all of the students look at each other with curiosity, then back to Rocky who is clearly sweating the idea. Rocky puts his foot down, and it's clearly larger than the footprint. Relieved, Rocky walks back to his friends. Kamat's partner suggests that they question the rest of the students. Rocky agrees with this, and says that they should pay extra attention to students that have just joined the school. He then nods his head towards Suraj.

Kamat asks Suraj if he's new, then where he was an hour ago. Suraj asks why they're suspecting him, but they order him to come over and check the footprint. Suraj reluctantly does so, and the print matches his shoe very closely. Kamat's partner declares them to be a perfect match, and says they're both a size 8. Everyone looks shocked at this news and glances around dramatically. Thankfully Kamat comes in with some common sense, and says that half of the people in the College must wear size 8, and this is hardly definitive evidence. He suggests they wait to see what the autopsy has to reveal before chasing down anyone else with size 8's on.

With that, he tells Suraj that he's free to go. For now!
