Now
that everyone is mad at each other, it's a real vacation. A quick check back on
the mainland shows the detectives looking around for the kids, showing photos
and asking the shopkeepers around town if anyone's seen Mahek. So far nothing is
turning up. Back on the island, everyone still recovering from the traumatic
afternoon. Rocky goes for a swim, only to see Mahek and Suraj spending some
quiet time down on the beach. They all decide to have a soccer game to blow off
some steam and relieve some tension. Rhea and Gehna serve as the goalies while
the guys form the teams. Mahek acts as the ref and does lots of yelling off to
the side.
As
one might imagine Rocky and Suraj are on opposing teams. A few rounds of back
and forth take place with both sides scoring goals. Rocky runs into Suraj as
many times as he can and knocks him down a few times. Things reach a fever pitch
until Gehna accidentally takes a serious kick to her right leg from Rocky, and
goes down. Everyone crowds around her and moves her to the shack to rest up.
Gehna's still smarting from the rejection earlier, and says that she thinks
Rocky did this to her on purpose. Rocky says he apologized and really didn't
mean it, but she doesn't buy it. Suraj says that it's sunset now, so they should
go back to the mainland the next morning to get Gehna's leg checked out. Gehna
dramatically says that she'll be dead by then. Mahek says the painkillers
they've given her should help take the edge off of the pain, but Gehna shuts her
down with a caustic sarcastic remark. She then tones it down a little and says
she'll be okay, she just wants some time alone to rest up and recover.
The
group goes outside and decides that they'll all clean up, then go for a walk
around the island to explore it a little bit. Everyone heads off to their
respective shower areas to get ready. Inside Gehna's room, we see her with her
leg propped up and trying to rest. She looks over groggily to her left, and
notices someone standing there. Looking up further, she sees a familiar white
clown mask. She puts up a valiant struggle and fights with all she can against
the Joker, but unfortunately he succeeds in smothering her. Just as Gehna has
been dispatched, the Joker hears the other girls approaching from outside. He
quickly arranges her arms to make it look as if she were sleeping, then rolls
off the bed to the side away from the door. Mahek comes in, thinks Gehna's
napping, and gets her camera before ducking back outside again. Once the room is
clear, the Joker peeks out the window and watches the women leave. Once the
coast is clear, he's out of there.
The rest of the gang is out in the woods having a nice hike. Mahek and Rhea
get out ahead of the others a little and pick out a nice place to take a group
photo. However once they turn around they notice the guys seem to have
disappeared. At first the girls are annoyed, but then the fear creeps in and the
noises of the forest seem very loud. Suddenly the men come barreling down the
hill screaming for them to run away from what's behind them! The girls don't ask
questions, and turn and run in the direction that is indicated. After a short
sprint down the hill, someone bursts out of a thicket of bushes in front of
them, within inches of grabbing them!
Luckily
for them, this is just Rocky. All of the guys start laughing and pointing at the
girls for falling for their silly prank. At first the girls look irritated, but
then they notice something that stops them cold. They all turn to look and see a
carving in a nearby tree that resembles the markings on the Joker's mask.
Mahek is freaked out by this. The guys try to reassure her that the Joker is
dead, and there's no way this could have anything to do with that situation.
Suraj says the only answer is that this is a prank perpetrated by one of them,
and asks who did it. Mahek says that whoever did it, this just is not funny. She
then announces that the walk is over, and she wants to go back to the huts.
Mahek makes her way to Gehna's hut to tell her what happened. The problem
with that is that Gehna is no longer in her bed. They find a note nearby saying
that the pain was too great, and she's taken a boat back to the mainland ahead
of schedule. Suraj says that she must have been in worse pain than they thought,
but Rocky says that they're now rid of a pain, and goes back outside. The others
notice how casual Rocky is about these strange developments, and give him some
thoughtful and suspicious looks.
