After an odd method of flirting involving straws and the bottle of Coke, some of Manav's wranglers show up and drag him back to his father's party. Mansi seems sorry to see him go, but then a couple of her buddies drag her back to the reception.

The next morning Manav goes up to the hills for his first yoga lesson. Mansi looks startled at first, but then she begins to do her routine and shows him what to do. We have a little montage of them doing their thing while some soft music plays. They seem to be getting pretty comfortable with each other and several significant lingering glances pass between them. Finally Mansi decides they've gone far enough and puts a stop to the flirting. She tells him that whatever seems to be happening here would not work out in the long run. Manav takes the more direct route and asks her (rather bluntly) if she loves him. She takes a moment to explain how women in her family do not just fall in love and marry who they want. She has responsibilities to her family, so she tells him no - she does not love him.

He taunts her and says that she's really just afraid that he'll cheat on her or run off and leave her. She tells him in not so many words that he's being silly, and refuses to see him again. Mansi goes home pouting. We see her sulking around her house, and she absent-mindedly picks up the red scarf. She starts to do some needlework on it, but we can't quite make out the letters she is writing.

We cut from the exciting cross-stitching to a business reception. Tara has agreed to the business plan that Jagmo and Co. have presented, and the announcement is being well-received by all in attendance. Manav is there, as well as Mansi. He sees her on the other side of the audience, and catches her eye. He begins to mimic her movements, such as biting his nails when she does, and eventually she gets to grinning. These little gestures are noticed by the wicked aunts of Manav, who wrinkle their noses and scowl about it. We revisit the Coke thing again as Manav takes a drink from a bottle, then sends it over to Mansi via a waiter. She takes the bottle and pours it into a flowerpot.

Manav looks wounded by this, but is called away by Jagmo to meet some VIPs before he can do anything about it. The evil aunts look all suspicious and raise eyebrows at each other. That night, the evil aunt with the shock of orange hair (seriously) is seen speaking with Jagmo. We don't get the first part of their talk, but some parts can be assumed. She tells him that "that's why we need to leave." Jagmo agrees, and they make preparations to move back to Mumbai.

Mansi apparently catches wind of this and goes running out to find Manav. He is waiting for her at their yoga spot, and he tells her that he knew she would come. He dares her to tell him that she doesn't love him, and she can't. They have a few minutes of suggested smooching in the rain while more soft music plays. Finally they get down to talking about what to do with themselves since he's headed out of town. He tells her that he will fight his family to make sure they stay together. She takes some comfort in this, and presents him with the scarf. She's written their names on it, much to Manav's delight. He gives her a passionate... hug then goes off to meet with his dad.

Tara and Jagmo say their goodbyes, and the caravan of cars heads off into the hills. Manav stands up through the sunroof of one of the cars and trails the scarf behind him while Mansi watches them go. Mansi goes back to the school, and has a flashback to when Manav gave her the green stone necklace she's been wearing. They have a short theological discussion about the nature of God (really, they do), and Manav gives her the necklace as a symbol of his love for Mansi. That's all well and good, but Tara is not as happy to see it. He asks her where she got it, and she confesses that she and Manav are in love. Tara is horrified to hear that she is thinking she can be with "those wealthy people."

The phone begins ringing, and one of Mansi's sisters goes to answer it. Manav is calling from Mumbai, and can tell there is a problem from how she is talking. He asks to speak with Tara directly. He tells Tara that he wanted to meet with him in person before they left, but was unable to. He explains that his promise to Mansi was true, and that he does intend to marry her. Tara looks both shocked and relieved, and hands the phone to Mansi before wandering out of the room in a daze.
