We cut to the inside of Karan's taxi as a paperboy walks past shouting the day's headlines. Karan flags him down and gets a paper to see two articles about his family. One deals with the nature of his father's death, and the other is about his own! Both are by good old Srikant. Karan talks to himself, and gives Srikant a warning about being so public in his theorizing.

As if he read our minds (well, mine anyway) we find Dirty Cop Suraj marching into Bhujang's den to tell him that he's found their new enemy - Srikant the reporter. The men are just standing around with their coats on, but no one seems to be doing anything. Goga says that a newspaper can't blow up a car, but Ravi adds that newspapers can topple governments.

Suraj is nervous. He says that Srikant has a lot of evidence built up against them, and even knows that Bhujang has contacts within the police department. Natasha (clad in an evening gown and made up to beat the band) steps in to needle Suraj a little bit. She suggests that Suraj should be "knocked off" before he can be identified in public. Suraj quickly interjects that while Srikant knows there is a crooked cop, he hasn't published who it is. Bhujang decides the plan is to kill Srikant instead, solving all of their problems at once. He dispatches his soldiers with their respective missions, but Ravi stays behind.

Ravi speaks to Bhujang quietly, suggesting that instead of killing a high profile reporter, it might work better to simply steal the evidence. Bhujang says that if that's the plan to take, then Ravi will have to do it himself. Ravi lets him know that this won't be a problem, and will take care of it.

We cut to Srikant's house where Natasha is briefing him on the afternoon's happenings. She tells him that today's the lucky day, as Bhujang is meeting with an arms dealer guy later that evening. She has been asked to arrange some entertainment to welcome this newcomer, and she has quite a display in mind. If Srikant wants to make a move on the organization, he would be able to do so while she's got everyone's attention.

We get a shot of Mr. Dunhill, Arms Dealer arriving ... somewhere to meet with Bhujang. We can't see any of the backgrounds, so either it's meant to be a mystery, or it was shot somewhere after the fact. They exchange greetings and that's all! We cut from that exciting scene to Karan sitting in his taxi, observing Natasha's movements. He sees her leaving Srikant's house and heading to the party.

When she arrives, it's time to see her big show for the new guest - our next musical number! This is a song about getting very drunk (seriously), called "Raat Bhar Jaamse."

A lot goes on while the song is being performed. We see Srikant sneaking around the campus taking pictures of everything. Also, we see Karan parked (again) in his cab, still outside Srikant's place. There, he sees a motorcycle pull up (with the lights on and even using turn signals) and stop in the middle of the road. The rider gets off and begins climbing the house! This is Ravi, here to get the evidence that Bhujang told him to steal. He finds all that he's looking for, and begins stuffing everything into a briefcase.

As the song wraps up, Karan decides it's time to make his move. He goes into the house as Ravi is trying to make his way out. The two engage in a ridiculous kung-fu fight, full of improbable physics and impressive personal stamina. After a few minutes of this tomfoolery, they realize who they are and stop fighting.

Karan tells Ravi that he's not surprised to see him there, but he is disappointed that he's become a traitor. Ravi explains that he can't abide by a law that does so much harm to personal relationships, and cites all of the problems at home that have stemmed from this law. Karan tells him that stinks, but he's still a criminal.

Ravi asks Karan why he feels the need to pretend he is dead to get around the system, and they realize they're kind of in the same boat. Ravi says that Bhujang's gang really can't hurt Srikant, so Karan tells him to leave the evidence there. Ravi says that delivering it will make the gang believe in his allegiance, so it's better to take it. Karan agrees, and the two of them have now officially formed an alliance.

It's all falling into place!
